Benjamin Satterley, the professional wrestler known as Pac, passed away at age 40. All Elite Wrestling announced his death Sunday evening on social media.

The company described Satterley as a native of Newcastle upon Tyne, England, who began wrestling in 2004. He performed for organizations worldwide and earned recognition for his high-flying style and technical ability.

“All Elite Wrestling is saddened to announce the passing of Benjamin Satterley, aka Pac,” the company said.

“A native of Newcastle upon Tyne, England, Satterley began his wrestling career in 2004 and went on to perform for wrestling organizations all over the world, captivating fans with innovative high-flying moves and incredible in-ring ability.”

“Pac signed with All Elite Wrestling in 2019 and held multiple AEW Championships and competed in some of the most memorable matches in AEW history. Our condolences go out to Satterley’s family, friends and fans.”

Satterley had competed for the AEW National Championship at All Out in Chicago on Saturday. The circumstances of his death have not been released.

He was one of the first wrestlers signed by AEW in 2019 and became a two-time trios champion and the promotion’s inaugural all-Atlantic champion. Earlier in his career, Satterley worked for WWE under the name Adrian Neville.

In WWE he captured the cruiserweight title twice, won the NXT championship, and held the NXT tag team championship on two occasions.
