WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

  • Gov. Greg Abbott sent two buses carrying migrants from Texas to Chicago on Wednesday night.
  • The buses carried about 80 to 100 migrants from Venezuela, including small children.
  • Abbott started bussing immigrants from the border to Washington, D.C. in April and in New York City in June.

Gov. Greg Abbott sent two buses carrying immigrants from Texas to Chicago in the latest action of his controversial bussing program.

The first busload of immigrants arrived at Chicago’s Union Station Wednesday night as the Windy City becomes the third destination city for asylum-seeking immigrants who are being bussed from Del Rio, Texas, Abbott’s office said.

He has already sent migrants to Chicago, Washington, D.C., and New York City.

“To continue providing much-needed relief to our small, overrun border towns, Chicago will join fellow sanctuary cities Washington, D.C. and New York City as an additional drop-off location,” said Abbott.

“Mayor Lightfoot loves to tout the responsibility of her city to welcome all regardless of legal status, and I look forward to seeing this responsibility in action as these migrants receive resources from a sanctuary city with the capacity to serve them.”

Abbott started bussing immigrants in April, sending them from the border to Washington, D.C. In June, Texas began bussing immigrants to New York City.

Texas has spent $12 million for Abbott’s bus program, or about $1,300 per immigrant bused to the east coast so far. The program uses both taxpayer money and private donations.

The people who are part of Abbott’s bussing program are not illegal immigrants. They have passed the first step of seeking asylum and have been granted legal permission to remain in the United States. However, they will wait until the federal government decides if they qualify for asylum or not.

Asylum-seekers from countries like Venezuela and Cuba who arrived at the US-Mexico border boarded the buses in Del Rio, Texas after being screened by federal immigration authorities.

According to the governor’s office, the bus program is voluntary and immigrants can get off the bus anytime they want. However, immigrants aboard a bus from Texas to New York City called 911 after they claim they weren’t allowed to get off the bus in Tennessee.

Immigrants told authorities they were being “held against their will” in the 911 recording obtained by the media.

Abbott needs to step up the pace and ship quadruple the number of busses to DC, NYC, and Chicago… and DeSantis needs to get involved, especially since he was the first one to publicly state he would be shipping illegals to Delaware, and included $8 Million in his budget to do so, which was passed… so, let’s get this going full speed ahead… send those illegals to the sanctuary cities who claim they want them, and load them right the hell up… now!

    WASHINGTON
George W. Bush isn’t the first Republican president to face a full-blown immigration crisis on the US-Mexican border.
Fifty-three years ago, when newly elected Dwight Eisenhower moved into the White House, America’s southern frontier was as porous as a spaghetti sieve. As many as 3 million illegal migrants had walked and waded northward over a period of several years for jobs in California, Arizona, Texas, and points beyond.

President Eisenhower cut off this illegal traffic. He did it quickly and decisively with only 1,075 United States Border Patrol agents – less than one-tenth of today’s force. The operation is still highly praised among veterans of the Border Patrol.

Why can’t those same methods be used now with the use of new modern techniques applied to the Eisenhower methods. Let the namby-pamby liberals keep their fingers out of it!

I was hoping we’d send at least 25% of illegal aliens to Chicago, where they could build a tent city for them on Lightfoot’s sidewalk and block. Then split the remainder for tent cities on the sidewalks at Hochul’s street in NY, Newsom’s in Kalifornya, and of course, can’t leave out in front of Bowser’s home, I know she wants to help. Oh, and a few hundred thousand in front of Pelosi’s home in SF. We’re running somewhere around 100,000 illegal aliens per month that we catch, that’s 20,000 each month for the five of ’em. Arizona and Texas already have a few million since the real border disaster began January 21, 2021.
Oh dang, I forgot Obama’s $12m estate, that could hold a lot of ’em; and Joey no doubt has a few spare rooms in Delaware too. Hmm. Where can I sign up to drive one of those buses….

I hope that they stay in shitcago, downstate Illinois does not want them and will NOT put up with these illegals who are criminals because of breaking our laws.Let pritzger and the useless mayor of shitcago house them, good luck with that. The taxpayers will be the ones that will end up footing the bill for this invasion.

That is a worse punishment than sending the illegals back where they came from.
