Concert attendees were shocked by the incident, with numerous fans noticing the mishap. One attendee was even heard exclaiming, “she fell!”
Post-concert, Underwood referenced her fall on social media. “Well, last night sure was fun!” she wrote, adding, “And although the ending was quite unexpected, it made for a memorable night! Thanks for being awesome.”
In a follow-up post, she discussed the weather conditions, stating, “We won’t let a little rain stop us! We won’t let a heavy downpour stop us, either!” She also shared a video of herself performing amid what seemed to be a heavy rainfall.
The recent incident echoes a past event in 2017 when Underwood suffered a severe fall outside her Nashville residence. The accident resulted in numerous stitches and a broken wrist for the star, which led her to take a break from her online presence.
Upon her return to the public view, she pre-warned her fans about her altered appearance due to the past accident. In a message to her fan club members, Underwood revealed, “I had to get 40 and 50 stitches on my face.”
“It’s remarkable how a random accident can alter your life,” Underwood had reflected, “I am grateful that it wasn’t much worse, and I am thankful for the supportive people in my life.”
Underwood then expressed her determination to make the following year incredible and promised to share her journey with her fans, stating, “And when I am ready to get in front of a camera, I want you all to understand why I might look a bit different.”
