Solomon and Marozhina Sukonick were last seen Thursday evening around 8 p.m. in Lancaster, California. According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the children were taken by their father, David Sukonick, 71, who was last observed with them near the 1000 block of West Avenue J-8.

The sheriff’s department issued a news release stating there is “concern for their well-being” and urged anyone with information about their whereabouts to contact authorities immediately.

Investigators believe the children are traveling in a black 2011 Lincoln Town Car bearing California license plate SOLOYST. The vehicle description has been distributed to law enforcement agencies throughout the region.

Marozhina Sukonick is described as a White girl standing 4 feet, 4 inches tall and weighing approximately 90 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing pink shorts and a white shirt.

Her twin brother Solomon is also described as a White boy of the same height and weight, with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing blue shorts and a shirt of unknown color.

David Sukonick is described as a 71-year-old White man standing 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighing about 135 pounds. He has brown hair and green eyes.

According to reports, David Sukonick posted a photo of the children on Facebook on July 13. One concerned commenter questioned whether the children were safe, writing that they appeared “miserable” in the photograph.
