  • Hollywood actor Gabriel Olds, recognized for his roles in television series such as “Law & Order” and “NCIS,” is facing seven counts of sexual assault.
  • The actor, who graduated from Yale University, allegedly used his fame to lure his victims, many of whom he met on dating apps.
  • A 41-year-old woman first accused Olds of rape in January 2023, with two other victims recounting similar situations dating back to 2013.

Gabriel Olds, a New York-born actor who has made a name for himself in Hollywood, was arrested on Wednesday, facing seven felony charges of sexual assault.

The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) has reported that Olds exploited his celebrity status and the prestige of his Ivy League education to attract his victims. He met a significant number of them on dating applications.

Currently living in Los Angeles, Olds’ bail has been set at an astounding $3.5 million.

The LAPD released a press statement revealing that the first accusation against Olds came from a 41-year-old woman in January 2023.
She claimed the alleged assault occurred in her own home.

The report continued, “After that initial accusation, two other victims came forward and recounted similar experiences, dating as far back as 2013.” The victims described scenarios of “consensual dating encounters that descended into violent sexual assault.”

The authorities officially issued an arrest warrant for Olds on July 19, 2024.

Victims reported that Olds used his success in the entertainment industry and his status as a Yale University graduate to secure dates. He also reportedly made use of dating apps.

Detective Brent Hopkins, a special assault section supervisor, shared,
“We heard the same story time and again.
Mr. Olds started off charming, but then used brutal violence to carry out these assaults. Some of these survivors suffered in silence for years before finding the strength to speak up. Now that he’s off the streets, we want to make sure everyone has a chance to be heard.”

Currently, three women have been identified as victims of the assault.
Two others have also reported “lesser violent sexual conduct.”
Given Olds’ profession, detectives believe there could be other victims scattered across the nation, urging anyone with relevant information to come forward.

Olds has been a steady presence in the television industry since 1993, with appearances in series such as “Law & Order,” “NCIS,” “Charmed,” “Private Practice,” “Criminal Minds,” “Cold Case,” and “CSI.”
He also played a role in the 2021 film “The Eyes of Tammy Faye,” featuring Jessica Chastain and Andrew Garfield.

The authorities have confirmed that Olds remains in custody.
When asked for a comment, a representative for Olds did not immediately respond.

Certainly, some of these guys are truly “sleaze bags”. In so cases, it becomes rape, when the check. bounces, or when the audition doesn’t materialize. Presumption of innocence is American.
