Jill Biden Champions New Women’s Health Initiative

Clear Facts
- Jill Biden has taken on a new role as chair of the Milken Institute’s “Women’s Health Network,” focusing on women’s health issues.
- The Milken Institute is a center-left nonprofit known for its annual conferences and has supported both left-leaning and some right-leaning policies.
- Both Jill and Joe Biden are involved in efforts to support the Democratic Party and are working on writing books.
Jill Biden, the former First Lady, has embarked on a new venture, aligning herself with the Milken Institute to tackle women’s health issues. The Milken Institute, a nonprofit with a center-left orientation, has announced Jill Biden as the chair for their newly launched “Women’s Health Network.”
The initiative aims to enhance research and development in women’s health by “elevating existing and new efforts across the women’s health ecosystem,” according to their press release.
Jill Biden, who holds a doctorate in education, has a history of involvement in health initiatives. Back in 1993, she founded the Biden Breast Health Initiative to raise awareness about breast cancer. During her time as First Lady, she continued her teaching career at Northern Virginia Community College.
Esther Krofah, executive vice president of Milken Institute Health, expressed gratitude for Jill Biden’s leadership, stating, “The Milken Institute is grateful for Dr. Biden’s leadership during her tenure in the White House and her steadfast commitment to championing investment in women’s health.”
Krofah further emphasized the importance of the initiative, pointing out that “women’s health faces persistent underinvestment in research and innovation across many disease conditions that affect women uniquely, differently, or disproportionately.”
In February 2024, Jill Biden had already made significant strides in this area by announcing $100 million in federal funding for women’s health research as part of a White House initiative.
The Milken Institute, founded by Michael Milken in the 1990s, is renowned for its annual conferences that gather influential figures to discuss global issues. Despite its predominantly left-leaning endorsements, the organization also supports some right-leaning policies, such as school choice programs and reducing corporate tax rates.
Michael Milken, the founder, was pardoned in 2020 for securities fraud, having served 22 months of a 10-year sentence.
As the Bidens transition from the White House, both are actively participating in efforts to support the Democratic Party. Joe Biden is eager to re-engage in politics, offering to raise funds and campaign for the party.
A source close to Jill Biden mentioned, “She recognizes that serving in the capacities that she served is an honor and it comes with responsibilities to the party. And she’s prepared to help in any way she can.”
In addition to their political engagements, both Bidens are reportedly working on writing books, continuing their involvement in public life.

First Ladies typically have a project of their own. Jill never did – her job was to BABYSIT JOE & HELP HIM OFF STAGE. As far as I am concerned whatever she says or does has no relevance. Jill go take Joe to the beach, let him do WHAT HE WANTS, not what you want. You put Joe through enough. You should be charged with elder abuse.
