I’m glad that, thanks to the Secret Service and Metro Police, the would-be assassin did not even get into the ballroom, and that the Prez, our other government officials and all the correspondents there are safe.
I must remark that “Trump Breaks Silence on Assassination Attempt” is a misleading and, frankly, weird headline, given that Trump was posting about it literally as soon as humanly possible and held a WH briefing some 30 minutes later. What “silence” did he initially maintain?
