Trump’s Granddaughter Kai Shares Frightening Health Scare at Augusta National

Clear Facts
- Kai Trump suffered an allergic reaction to hand soap she used on her face while attending the Masters Tournament at Augusta National Golf Club
- The 18-year-old golfer required medical treatment including a steroid shot to address the severe skin reaction
- Despite the health scare, Kai completed her weekend at the prestigious tournament and will enroll at the University of Miami this fall to play golf
Kai Trump, granddaughter of President Donald Trump, experienced a frightening medical emergency during her visit to the Masters Tournament earlier this month. The future University of Miami golfer shared details of the incident in a new video blog posted to her social media channels.
The 18-year-old traveled to Augusta National Golf Club to witness the first major championship of the golf season. However, what should have been an exciting weekend turned concerning when she developed a serious allergic reaction.
“I was using hand soap on my face, when I was at Augusta, to wash off my makeup and I started getting these bumps on my neck,” she explained in the vlog.
The reaction escalated quickly, requiring immediate medical attention. Kai received a steroid shot to counteract the allergic response to the hand soap she had mistakenly used as a facial cleanser.
“Now, I don’t have a rash anymore, but I had an allergic reaction to the hand soap on my face,” she said.
“I have very sensitive skin. It was so, so scary.”
After receiving proper treatment, Kai was able to enjoy the remainder of her weekend at the prestigious Georgia golf course. She documented her experience on Instagram, including a photo with professional golfer Bryson DeChambeau and his caddie Greg Bodine. DeChambeau, a supporter of President Trump and fellow content creator, has built a substantial following through his own YouTube presence.
The weekend proved disappointing for DeChambeau’s competitive performance, as he missed the cut at Augusta National after posting 6-over par through his first two rounds.
The tournament concluded with Rory McIlroy capturing his second consecutive green jacket, defending his title after completing the career Grand Slam at last year’s event. McIlroy finished one stroke ahead of Scottie Scheffler, who posted 11-under for the week following a strong 4-under final round on Sunday. Russell Henley, Cam Young, Tyrell Hatton and Justin Rose shared third place at 10-under par.
Kai currently attends The Benjamin School in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, as a high school senior. She plans to enroll at the University of Miami later this fall, where she has committed to play for the women’s golf team. In her latest vlog, she also discussed preparations for her upcoming senior prom, balancing typical teenage experiences with her growing presence in the golf world.
