- Trump gave the players a public shoutout and invited some to join him in the presidential motorcade during the facility tour.
President Donald Trump welcomed four Baltimore Ravens players to his event at the 3,300-acre industrial site known as Sparrows Point. The president highlighted a major new investment aimed at strengthening American submarine production.
Four-time Pro Bowl cornerback Marlon Humphrey, kicker Tyler Loop, long snapper Nick Moore and punter Ryan Eckley attended in suits. The players met Trump before his remarks and were later recognized from the stage.
“What a team you have this year,” Trump said. “What a great team.”
“Could you stand up?” Trump asked the players. “You guys are where are you? Big stars. Where are you guys? There they are. Good looking guys.”
Trump paid particular attention to long snapper Nick Moore, describing his role in detail and noting his unblemished record. The president joked about Moore’s gray hair while praising his skill.
“I said, tell me, are you a coach? They said, ‘No, he’s a snapper,'” Trump said. “You know, nowadays, those long snappers are very valuable. It’s an amazing job you do with that. And he’s got an unblemished record.”
“How far is that, like, 10 yards deep or more? Fifteen yards and you throw strikes, you throw strikes. I don’t know how to hell you do it. So, he’s got a little gray hair right now, this, but you know, they don’t care. They want them him for one play.”
Two of the players joined Trump in the presidential motorcade for the facility tour. Humphrey sat directly behind the president and captured video of Trump speaking with Moore about a past Super Bowl.
The short video posted on X quickly reached one million views. Some online reactions focused on the players’ presence, while others simply noted the unusual meeting between the president and professional athletes.
“Say hello to your quarterback,” Trump told the other players. “He’s a little bit injured. And tell him I know his mother. I met his mother a few times in Palm Beach. And she’s a fantastic, beautiful woman. Give him my regards. He is some player.”
Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson was not present due to an ankle injury. Trump mentioned Jackson by name and sent regards through his teammates.
