Vice President JD Vance is set to highlight the achievements of President Donald Trump’s administration during its initial 100 days by visiting the largest steel manufacturer in the United States. The visit to the Nucor Steel Berkeley factory in Huger, South Carolina, is scheduled for Thursday.

Vance will be accompanied by EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin for a tour of the facility, which prides itself on producing all its steel domestically.

Following the tour, Vice President Vance is expected to deliver remarks celebrating what a White House official described as “America’s industrial renaissance” under the Trump administration.

“Nucor Steel employs tens of thousands of Americans in good paying jobs and produces key raw materials for defense, infrastructure, and domestic manufacturers, making our workers better off and our entire nation safer,” stated Taylor Van Kirk, the vice president’s press secretary.

The administration is actively working to dismantle burdensome regulations and unfair trade practices to support this industrial revival.

As the administration marks the president’s 100th day in office, the White House has organized a week-long celebration to highlight Trump’s accomplishments.

On Monday, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt, alongside border czar Tom Homan, briefed reporters on efforts to secure the southern border. They showcased photos of 100 illegal immigrants arrested for serious crimes, including rape and murder.

Leavitt is also scheduled to discuss the state of the economy with Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent.

President Trump has enacted tariffs on various imports to stimulate the economy and support the industrial renaissance. In February, he reinstated a 25% tariff on foreign steel and aluminum, a move reminiscent of his first term.

“In just his first one hundred days President Trump has accomplished more than Joe Biden did in four years,” Van Kirk emphasized.

“Most importantly, in just a hundred days, Americans have become safer, more prosperous, and more free,” she continued, citing reductions in border crossings, inflation, and government waste, alongside improvements in military recruitment and international trade negotiations.
