Democratic Senate Candidate’s ‘Trans Children’ Remark Fuels Texas Political Firestorm

Clear Facts
- Texas Democrat James Talarico named “trans children” as what he loves besides family or friends in 2023 podcast.
- Voted against 2023 Texas law banning transgender surgeries and hormones for minors.
- Called parents refusing to affirm child’s gender identity abusive and destructive.
James Talarico won the Democrat primary for a Texas Senate seat last week after defeating Rep. Jasmine Crockett.
The clip resurfaced as Talarico campaigns in a state Donald Trump carried by nearly 14 points.
Talarico faces either Sen. John Cornyn or AG Ken Paxton in the general election.
“I love, I’m just saying this because it’s all on my mind, the trans children who showed up yesterday at the state capitol to advocate for their humanity. They shouldn’t have to, but it was an inspiration to watch,” he stated on the “A Superbloom” podcast.
“The one thing I want us to all be aware of is that modern science obviously recognizes that there are many more than two biological sexes,” Talarico claimed in a hearing. “In fact, there are six.”
He positions himself as Christian yet pushes transgender ideology opposing traditional values.
“There’s only one person who can determine a child’s gender identity, and that’s the child,” Talarico asserted. He warned non-affirmation risks suicide.
GOP spokesman Zach Kraft responded: “James Talarico is a sick freak obsessed with talking to kids about sex changes.”
“Texas Republicans have passed their anti-trans bill. Over and over, Christians used scripture to justify bullying trans kids,” Talarico said in 2021. “I told them in my faith, God is non-binary.”
Traditional families demand protection for children from radical gender experiments.
Texas voters reject Democrats promoting transgenderism on youth. Support strong conservatives safeguarding innocence.
