In a startling breach of security, a United States Capitol police officer has been suspended following an incident where a visitor from Massachusetts managed to enter the Capitol with a firearm. The visitor, identified as 27-year-old James A. Faber, was able to complete a guided tour while armed.
Authorities in Carlisle, Massachusetts, had previously alerted the U.S. Capitol Police (USCP) on January 21st about Faber. They informed Washington, D.C., officials that Faber was traveling to the area with a firearm and had posted suicidal thoughts on social media.
Upon Faber’s arrival at the Capitol Visitor Center (CVC), the magnetometer screening triggered a security alert. However, despite a secondary hand search by an officer, the firearm went undetected, allowing Faber to proceed inside.
The USCP later tracked Faber to a nearby hotel early Tuesday morning. After interviewing him, they located his vehicle, conducted a search, and arrested him. The concealed 9mm handgun was found in his waistband.
The officer involved in the security oversight has been suspended, and an investigation is underway. Authorities emphasized, “At this time, there is no indication that the man was coming to harm the Congress. Thankfully, nobody was hurt.”
In response to the incident, the USCP stated, “The USCP demands the highest standards when it comes to screening visitors, so a full review of this incident has already been ordered, as well as mandatory refresher training on security screening, so this never happens again.”
Faber faces several charges, including “Unlawful Activities, Carrying a Pistol Without a License, Possession of an Unregistered Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, and Resisting Arrest.”

Hmmm. Capital police really don’t have a very good reputation. Just like the FBI and SS. Perhaps all their BS about j6 is just that, BS.
