According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a trooper patrolling northbound observed a Honda Civic blow past the patrol vehicle at speeds exceeding 90 mph. The trooper immediately initiated a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, later identified as 33-year-old Conor William Parady of San Antonio, Florida.

During the encounter, the trooper reported that Parady appeared to be heavily intoxicated. A search of the vehicle revealed 34 open alcohol containers inside, authorities said. The trooper’s observations during the stop led to a full DUI investigation.

Parady was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and transported to the Pasco County Jail. Following the arrest, authorities reported a blood alcohol concentration of 0.177—more than double Florida’s legal limit of 0.08 for drivers.

Online jail records confirmed Parady was booked into the Pasco County Jail following the arrest. It was not immediately clear whether he had retained an attorney.

Under Florida law, a first-time DUI conviction can carry penalties including fines, probation, community service, and a driver’s license suspension. Any potential penalties in this case would depend on the outcome of court proceedings. The excessive speed combined with the extreme level of intoxication could factor into sentencing considerations.

A spokesperson for the Florida Highway Patrol did not immediately respond to a request for additional comment Saturday evening. No injuries were reported in connection with the traffic stop.
