Liz Cheney loses to Trump-endorsed primary challenger [Video]

Rep. Liz Cheney was defeated by Trump-backed Harriet Hageman in Tuesday’s Wyoming Republican primary.
In a speech conceding to Hageman, Cheney said: “This primary election is over, but now the real work begins.”
Hageman’s victory only strengthened former President Donald Trump’s hold over the Republican Party.
Cheney held the state’s sole congressional seat for five years. However, she became Trump’s constant target after she voted to impeach him over the January 6, 2021, Capitol attack. Cheney also serves as the vice chair of the House select committee investigating the Capitol riots. She refers to the role as “may be the most important thing I ever do.”
Trump plotted to purge the Republican Party of members he considers disloyal to him, calling the RINO or Republican In Name Only. Cheney was the highest-ranking Republican to impeach him and she’s been one of his loudest critics since. Her defeat in Wyoming is Trump’s biggest primary victory this year.
As vice chair of the Jan.6 House committee, Cheney has pushed back on Trump’s claim that the 2020 election was rigged. She sought to cast him as a threat to the country. The congresswoman said in recent weeks that making sure Trump never returns to the White House is more important than her own re-election.
It became evident in the recent months that Cheney, 56, could not win her primary. She told her supporters and staff that their work “wasn’t over” during a speech conceding to Hageman.
She said winning in the primary “would’ve required that I go along with President Trump’s lie about the 2020 election. It would’ve required that I enable his ongoing efforts to unravel our democratic system and attack the foundations of our republic. That was a path I could not and would not take.”
Earlier this month, Dick Cheney urged Wyoming voters to re-elect his daughter. In a campaign ad, the former vice president called Trump a “coward.”
“In our nation’s 246-year history, there has never been an individual who is a greater threat to our republic than Donald Trump,” he added.

Lizzy Chaney, is setting herself up for failure. The message was clear from Wyoming’s, that they do not value their one House Member, using her status and power, to follow her own path when it came to her Witch Hunt of President Trump! She refused to represent the People of Wyoming and their values, eventually calling her own constituents names, because they didn’t believe in what she was doing! A Representative, may have ideas and Path’s they might want to travel personally, but they represent THE PEOPLE of Wyoming, not her personal vendetta! As she continued on this path, more and more constituent’s made it clear, she had better represent them and not her personal war with Trump! Cheney continued to follow her own path, laser focused on only Trymp, paying little attention to the problems that the People of Wyoming were facing! She was repeatedly told that she was not representing the People, but rather her own feelings, which were far from those of Wyoming’s! Chaney made her bed and now she was forced to lie in it! It was at this point she started seeing the People of Wyoming as small minded and unable to comprehend the Devil she saw Trump as being!
By now Cheney, vowed to do all within her ability, to prevent Trump from ever becoming President again. So much so, that she’s creating a group, to “educate American’s on the disaster that is Donald Trump.” ! Comparing herself to Abe Lincoln, she insinuated that she was today’s Abe, and even contemplating a run in 2024 for President! The problem here is, the Republican’s don’t want her! She has a hugely inflated ego, and the singular savior of the Republican Party and the Country!
Chaney may not like Donald Trump, but well over the majority of Republican’s love him, and add in the Independent’s and the Hispanic’s who remember what Trump was able to for them, prior to the Covid Pandemic! Compared to Biden, who has destroyed our Energy Independence, low inflation numbers and the most American’s across every ethnic group, were finding their dream jobs at higher pay levels! Crime was coming down and illegal border crossing were way down!
I will always believe that the Democrat’s stunned at what was taking place, encouraged the release of the virus(something Fauci had eluded to when Trump took office) wrapped in the garments of the NWO and the Radical Socialist Communist Democrat’s gone wild!
They really don’t care about us! They use us! We are nothing more than their “Cash Cows” and they were looking to stay in power…forever!
