Dick Cheney calls Trump ‘threat to our Republic’ and ‘coward’ in campaign ad for Liz Cheney [Video]

Former Vice President Dick Cheney appeared in a new campaign ad released Thursday encouraging Wyoming voters to re-elect his daughter, Rep. Liz Cheney, in her upcoming primary.
In the one-minute ad, Dick Cheney sharply condemned former President Donald Trump calling him a “coward” and a “threat to our republic.”
“In our nation’s 246-year history, there has never been an individual who was a greater threat to our republic than Donald Trump,” Dick Cheney said in the ad.
“He tried to steal the last election using lies and violence to keep himself in power after the voters had rejected him,” he continued, calling Trump a “coward.”
Liz Cheney’s main challenger is Trump-backed Harriet Hageman, a former Republican National Committeewoman. In July, a Casper-Star Tribune poll found Hageman with a 22-point lead over Liz Cheney among likely primary voters in the state.
The GOP Wyoming primary on August 16 is one of the most closely watched races as the former president seeks to oust Liz Cheney from Congress. The congresswoman is known for her repeated criticisms of Trump’s efforts to overturn the 2020 election and his role in the January 6, 2021, Capitol attack. Cheney serves as vice chair of the committee investigating the riot.
“He lost his election, and he lost big. I know it, he knows it, and deep down, I think most Republicans know it,” Liz Cheney’s father said in the video, adding that he and his wife, Lynne Cheney, are “so proud” of their daughter.
“Liz is fearless — she never backs down from a fight,” Cheney, a longtime Republican who served as President George W. Bush’s vice president, continued. “There is nothing more important she will ever do than lead the effort to make sure Donald Trump is never again near the Oval Office. And she will succeed.”
Liz Cheney has been Wyoming’s sole congressional district representative since 2015, a seat her father previously held for ten years in the 1980s.

I think most of the RINOS were fine with Trump when he was included in their social clubs and donating money. They were trying to destroy him before he was even sworn in once he ran for president.
