  • President Trump ordered a military counterattack against Iran after 47 years of conflict.
  • United States and Israeli forces damaged Iran’s nuclear program, missile capabilities, and defense industry.
  • Mark Dubowitz states he still loses sleep over unknown elements of Iran’s nuclear and missile programs.

Mark Dubowitz, chief executive of the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, discussed the Middle East situation with The Daily Wire’s Ben Domenech.

Dubowitz explained that the Islamic Republic of Iran has been at war with the United States since 1979.

He noted that Iran has killed, maimed, and kidnapped thousands of Americans over those decades.

“President Trump’s decision to launch a counterattack against the Islamic Republic to finally push back against the regime after more than four decades, I think, has certainly provided us with more space to advance American interests.”

Dubowitz said the strike weakened Iran’s nuclear program, missile program, and defense industrial base.

He acknowledged costs including U.S. casualties, damaged aircraft, and higher oil prices.

Dubowitz argued the risks of letting Iran obtain nuclear weapons outweighed the costs of the operation.

“I lose sleep over what we don’t know.”

He expressed concern that Iran could still possess hidden nuclear facilities or covert weapons programs.

Dubowitz criticized European nations for decades of appeasement toward Iran.

He praised Israel as America’s only reliable partner with the military capability to strike deep inside Iran.

Dubowitz also addressed the information war, accusing mainstream media of indifference to Iranian regime atrocities.

He warned that foreign influence operations, including algorithmic control on platforms like TikTok, continue to shape American public opinion.
