Insider Footage Reveals the Dark Side of Transgender Inmates at Women’s Prison

James O’Keefe, founder of Project Veritas, and O’keefe Media Group (OMG) has released a video in which two female inmates at the Washington State Correctional Center for Women (WCCW) discuss male inmates who they claim are abusing the system by claiming to be transgender. The inmates allege that men who have raped and murdered women, as well as child rapists, are being put in their rooms, which makes them feel unsafe.

Inmate #1 says that some men are not confused but are simply manipulating the system to get into women’s prisons. She claims that it is not equal because women do not receive the same care and treatment as transgender people do.

Inmate #1 alleges that some of the men who are claiming to be transgender are doing so just so they can have sex with female inmates. She says that if a woman complains about a man being put in her room, there is nothing she can do except say she will kill herself and go to the crazy unit.

Inmate #2 says that normally, people in correctional institutions are segregated, like sex offenders who are usually in their own population. She claims that her safety is now in jeopardy because she cannot voice her freedom of speech, but that does not apply anymore because they are implementing a new gender equality role that forces them to conform to what they want them to believe about transgender people.

Inmate #2 claims that some men are coming up with strategies to conform to the transgender thing. She says they are taking all the necessary steps to get on the applications and the lists to go through the whole process just to get into the women’s prisons. She says they don’t have a voice and that any time they voice their concerns, they are met with ridicule, targeting, bias, punishments, and solitary confinement. She concludes by saying that WCCW has poor medical services and that women have a much harder time getting their medical needs met than transgender people do. O’Keefe’s video has sparked a debate over whether transgender people should be housed in prisons according to their gender identity or their biological sex.
