The potential legal complications surrounding former President Donald Trump are now becoming a factor in the planning for the GOP national convention, as confirmed by Republican National Committee Chairman, Michael Whatley. The timing of Trump’s sentencing is just days before the convention, causing the RNC to develop contingency plans.
Whatley expressed his expectation for Trump to be present in Milwaukee to accept the nomination. He also acknowledged the possibility of Trump being unavailable during the convention, stating, “We will make whatever contingency planning we need to. He is our nominee and we hope he will be the 47th president of the United States.”
On the specifics of the contingency plans, Whatley did not provide any details. The possibilities of Trump recording a speech beforehand or delivering remarks remotely were mentioned.
Whatley assured, “Everything is being considered at this point in time.” He added, “We will have to wait and see what the legal decisions allow us to do, but Trump will communicate with the American voters as he always does.”
The case against Trump involves allegations of falsifying business records, allegedly to influence the 2016 election. These allegations are part of a “catch-and-kill” scheme which Trump has vehemently denied, promising to fight “this scam.”
With Trump’s sentencing scheduled for July 11, legal experts have expressed doubts about his possible incarceration, largely due to his lack of prior criminal record. However, it’s reported that preparations are being made, just in case.
As Trump faces multiple legal challenges and seeks re-election, he maintains that he is the victim of a politically motivated “witch hunt.” It is unclear whether these cases will reach trial before the November election. Regardless, Trump can still run despite a conviction.
Meanwhile, President Joe Biden is also running for a second term in this election cycle. Democrats plan to nominate him virtually weeks before their own convention to prevent potential complications.
RNC Chairman Whatley speculated that Democrats might be wary of Biden being on air for an extended period of time. He suggested that, “They want to minimize his exposure. That’s their entire campaign plan. He just is not able to communicate directly with the American people, so they’re going to do it as a studio production.”

We are experiencing the worst election interference in our nation’s history.
At no time in our history, has the Courts been used to damage and stop an opposing candidate.
Instead of damaging Trump, the attacks on Trump are causing Biden and the Democratic Party to look like corrupt politicians, bordering on criminals.
At this time in our history, the U.S. Supreme Court needs to step in and put a stop the abuse on the Courts to attack a Presidential Candidate.
Never in our has our DOJ become so politicized to create fraudulent court proceeding.
Only the U.S. Supreme Court can stop the abuse of the courts against President Trump.
The U.S. Supreme Court is the highest Court in our nation.
The U.S. Supreme Court must maintain the integrity of the courts.
Abuse by the courts destroys people’s trust in the U.S. Court system.
Only the U.S. Supreme Court can address this problem, and save the integrity of our court system.
The American People see this situation for what it is, a criminal abuse of the Department of Justice by a desperate President and corrupt political party.
If the U.S. Supreme allows these fraudulent trials to continue, people’s trust and respect for U.S. Courts will be badly damaged.
The U.S. Supreme Court can not sit on the side and do nothing in this situation, without damaging the nation’s trust in the U.S. Supreme Court.

I agree with Robert Haggerton, they have NO clue of what OBiden is trying to do to this country. He already sold us to China & Ukraine. Why else do you think he is giving them all of our money & allowing China to buy our farmland.
