Ukraine joining NATO would lead to World War III, says Russian official

- World War Three is guaranteed to start if Ukraine joins NATO, a Russian official warned.
- Russian Security Council’s deputy secretary Alexander Venediktov said that NATO members also know the “suicidal nature” of giving Ukraine full membership.
- Still, Venediktov cautioned against nuclear war, saying that it would have catastrophic consequences for the world.
A Russian Security Council official warned that the conflict in Ukraine would escalate into World War Three if the nation joins NATO’s military alliance.
On Sept. 30, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that up to 18% of Ukraine has been formally annexed. But Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy responded by applying for a fast-track membership of NATO.
However, since the alliance’s 30 members still need to give their approval, it could still be a while before Ukraine gets full NATO membership.
According to TASS, Russian Security Council’s deputy secretary Alexander Venediktov stated, “Kyiv is well aware that such a step would mean a guaranteed escalation to World War Three. The suicidal nature of such a step is understood by NATO members themselves.”
Venediktov, who serves as deputy to Putin ally Nikolai Patrushev, dismissed Ukraine’s application as pure propaganda. He believes that the West understands the consequences of Ukraine’s membership.
Putin has previously called out the U.S. for supporting NATO’s expansion towards eastern nations, including ex-Soviet republics such as Ukraine and Georgia. Putin still regarded such nations as part of Russia’s sphere of influence.
On Sept. 21, Putin warned Western countries not to call his bluff when he said he was prepared to use nuclear weapons. He said that such defense is needed against what he called “nuclear blackmail” from major Western powers.
Russia and the United States control about 90% of the world’s nuclear warheads, making them the biggest nuclear powers by far.
Zelenskyy had previously considered preventive strikes against Russia. But Venediktov cautioned against nuclear war, saying that it would have catastrophic consequences for the world.
He stated, “We must remember: a nuclear conflict will affect absolutely the whole world — not only Russia and the collective West, but every country on this planet. The consequences would be disastrous for all mankind.”
U.S. President Joe Biden also warned that the conflict poses a risk of nuclear Armageddon bigger than the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis.
NATO is set to meet next week over an annual nuclear preparedness exercise called “Steadfast Noon.”

Another move by the current biden administration to make it look like they are securing the southern border just before midterm elections. To little to late. The damage is done and is on going with the millions of illegals that have already entered and will continue to enter. This move will only be a drop in the bucket of the continous invasion by illegals. Let’s not forget about drugs and the continuing use of our tax dollars for benefits for these illegals. Yeah total garbage! Russian people know that Putin is a tyrant, nothing more, they will not allow him to fire any nuclear weapons. This is all Biden’s doing, the Biden bluff trying to make him look strong and save the planet from the evil dark side RUSSIA. Biden is the problem not Vlad. There might not be a threat like this if President Trump was still in power.Our many enemies feared and at the same time respected him because he is honest and did what he said he would do.All of AMERICA’S enemies except the democRATS.They wouldn’t leave him alone even though the country was doing great and look at it now,how much more of a totally depressing country will we become,I don’t know,the democRATS are not only destroying AMERICA,they have made our whole world worse!!

If Putin is not bluffing and a third world war does explode then we can suppose Washington DC would be the first place he would bomb. Even is Biden is up in the air somewhere he would no to lead so government would cease to function. That is not fun game.
