US Military Destroys Narco Vessel in Caribbean Strike

The U.S. military conducted another lethal strike on a vessel in the Caribbean that officials described as carrying narco-traffickers.
The Southern Command stated that the vessel was traveling along established trafficking routes and that intelligence indicated active involvement in narco-trafficking.
“Under the direction of U.S. Southern Command, Joint Task Force Western Hemisphere executed a lethal, kinetic strike on a go-fast vessel operating along established narco-trafficking routes in the Caribbean,” the military said in a statement.
The operation killed four narco-terrorists, according to the military statement.
These strikes have continued under the current administration as part of efforts to disrupt drug trafficking networks operating in the region.
The Pentagon has not released the names of those killed or provided physical evidence of narcotics recovered from the vessel.

Senator Rand Paul has expressed concerns about the lack of due process in these operations and the possibility that innocent people could be killed.
Human rights groups have criticized the strikes as extrajudicial killings.
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has indicated that agreements are being pursued with several Latin American countries to expand joint operations against criminal organizations on land.
Ecuador began similar joint operations with the U.S. earlier this year.
