Crockett’s Bold Moves Spark Controversy Among Peers

Clear Facts
- Rep. Jasmine Crockett threatened to block a profile on her after learning the reporter contacted her colleagues without her consent.
- Crockett believes she deserved to be the top Democrat on the Oversight Committee due to her large social media following.
- Some colleagues view Crockett as “undisciplined” but refrain from publicly expressing these opinions.
In a surprising turn of events, Democrat Texas Representative Jasmine Crockett found herself in a tense situation over a profile piece. The issue arose when a reporter reached out to several of Crockett’s congressional colleagues without her prior approval. This action led Crockett to threaten to halt the publication of the profile entirely.
The profile revealed some intriguing aspects of Crockett’s personality and professional demeanor. Notably, she has a photo of herself as her phone’s lock screen, a detail that underscores her self-awareness and perhaps hints at a level of narcissism. Furthermore, Crockett argued that she should have been the top Democrat on the Oversight Committee, citing her substantial social media presence as a qualifying factor.
Despite the controversy, not everyone was critical of Crockett. Democratic Texas Rep. Julie Johnson expressed her support, stating that although some members might not agree with Crockett’s “aggressive communication style,” she is “thrilled” with her.
However, the profile also highlighted some criticisms from within her party. Senior staffers mentioned that some colleagues view Crockett as “undisciplined,” though they choose not to voice these opinions publicly. This sentiment was echoed by the lack of response from thirteen members of the Oversight and Judiciary Committees, along with 20 Democrats, who either did not comment or declined to do so.
During an interview at the Waldorf hotel in Atlanta, Georgia, Crockett’s demanding nature was on display. She openly reprimanded a staffer for an “unclear note” on her schedule and criticized an aide for bringing her food in a paper bag she deemed unsatisfactory.
In a personal anecdote, Crockett recalled an incident from her college days involving alleged “racist threats.” She claimed that a black, female attorney from the Cochran Firm became her “shero” for supposedly representing her and other students. However, neither Crockett could recall the attorney’s name, nor could the Cochran Firm confirm any involvement in such a case.

This woman along with AOC are really a disgrace to the Dumocratic party. Every time they open their mouths-something unhinged and stupid comes out. She thinks she is relevant but she is stupid (Crocket). Surely the dumocratic party can come up with something better than these two nit wit women.

Rep. Crockett has misunderstood that getting recognition from people does not imply wisdom. Apparently she hasn’t heard the saying, it is better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.
