Elon Musk’s Top Lawyer Exits Amid DOGE Lawsuit and Federal Shakeup

Clear Facts
- Steve Davis, a key figure at the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), is leaving the White House following Elon Musk’s departure.
- Davis, like Musk, was a special government employee, allowing him to maintain his role as CEO of the Boring Co. while working at DOGE.
- Katie Miller, another senior advisor at DOGE, has reportedly left to work full-time for Musk.
Elon Musk’s close associate, Steve Davis, has decided to leave his position at the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), following in the footsteps of Musk himself.
The White House confirmed Davis’s exit on Thursday. A White House official also verified his departure.
Davis, who held the title of special government employee (SGE) like Musk, was able to juggle his responsibilities at DOGE while continuing his role as CEO of the Boring Co. This arrangement was made possible due to the SGE status, which permits up to 130 days of government service annually.
Davis was responsible for overseeing daily operations at DOGE, including personnel decisions.
In a related development, Katie Miller, who served as a senior advisor and spokesperson for DOGE, is reportedly now working for Musk full-time.
She has been helping arrange Musk’s interviews that are unrelated to his time in government, highlighting her SGE status.
With the departures of these key figures, the task of continuing the cost-cutting mission at DOGE now falls to lesser-known officials within the federal government.
Anthony Armstrong, who helped Musk buy Twitter as a Banker at Morgan Stanley, and Antonio Gracias, a Musk confidant and CEO of Valor Equity Partners, are also top Musk lieutenants at DOGE.
Musk had announced his own departure from DOGE on Wednesday.
Following his election win, Trump had appointed Musk to lead DOGE with the goal to “slash excess regulations, cut wasteful expenditures and restructure Federal Agencies,” according to a statement from Trump.
Despite the exit of DOGE’s chief leaders, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt reassured the public that “the entire cabinet” remains engaged with DOGE’s objectives.
“The entire cabinet understands the need to cut government waste, fraud and abuse, and each cabinet secretary at their respective agencies is committed to that,” she stated.
“Surely, the mission of DOGE will continue,” Leavitt added.

Without the DOGE Team the cutting and slashing of runaway spending, fraud and corruption by government employees and unelected bureaucrats will continue as before because that is what happens in government without strict watchdogs watching. The Deep State treachery MUST be dismantled and disentangled from government and the people must make sure it happens.
