Gabbard Challenges Media on Iran Nuclear Stance

Clear Facts
- Tulsi Gabbard, Director of National Intelligence, claims she and President Trump share the same views on Iran’s nuclear capabilities, despite media reports suggesting otherwise.
- Gabbard’s March testimony indicated that Iran is not currently building a nuclear weapon, but highlighted concerns over Iran’s enriched uranium stockpile.
- Gabbard was not included in a recent Camp David meeting about Iran and Israel but has been involved in subsequent White House discussions on Middle East strategies.
Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, has voiced her frustration with media outlets, accusing them of misrepresenting her statements regarding Iran’s nuclear ambitions. In an interview, Gabbard emphasized that she and President Donald Trump are aligned in their understanding of Iran’s nuclear timeline.
When questioned about Gabbard’s reported remarks, Trump dismissed the concern, stating, “I don’t care what she said. I think they were very close to having one.” This prompted Gabbard to clarify her position, stressing that her assessment from March was consistent with the President’s views.
“President Trump was saying the same thing that I said in my annual threat assessment back in March,” Gabbard explained. She expressed disappointment that many in the media failed to accurately convey her testimony.
Alexa Henning, deputy chief of staff to Gabbard, provided the full testimony to ensure clarity. In her March testimony, Gabbard stated, “The [Intelligence Community] continues to assess that Iran is not building a nuclear weapon and Supreme Leader Khomeini has not authorized the nuclear weapons program that he suspended in 2003.” However, she also noted the concerning increase in Iran’s enriched uranium stockpile.
Despite being left out of a recent Camp David meeting regarding Israel and Iran, Gabbard has been actively participating in discussions at the White House about Middle East options.
The geopolitical landscape remains tense, especially after Iran’s announcement of plans to construct a third nuclear enrichment facility. This development has further strained relations with the United Nations, which has accused Iran of violating its nonproliferation obligations.
As the situation evolves, Gabbard continues to assert her alignment with President Trump, reiterating, “What President Trump is saying is the same thing I said in my annual threat assessment in March to Congress.”

The media is trying to spilt them apart like they played Trump against Musk. It won’t work because Trump and gabbard are working together. You know the media is causing big problems nationally and globally for President Trump with their TDS.
