The cause of Bernard’s death remains unknown, with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office continuing their investigation.

Bernard, born on May 26, 1959, in Gladewater, Texas, began her acting career with a role in the 1981 hit, “Diva.” She later rose to prominence as Terry Brock in “General Hospital,” a role she played for several years.

Bernard’s character was the daughter of a scheming character, D. L. Brock. She entertained her loyal fans for a total of 145 episodes.

Bernard exited “General Hospital” in 1990, but by then, she had already accumulated a series of credits on other shows.

Her appearances included popular television shows such as “Simon & Simon,” “Whiz Kids,” “Tour of Duty,” “The Facts of Life,” and “Maigret.”

In addition to her television roles, Bernard also had a series of movie credits to her name. These included the 1986 film “Betty Blue,” the 1989 movie “Roselyne and the Lions,” and “Kings for a Day,” which was released in 1997.

Bernard’s last onscreen appearance was in 2002 when she portrayed a psychologist in “Voices From the High School.”
