Migrants abandon NYC for Canada, citing homelessness and drug abuse [Video]

- Some migrants cited homelessness and drug abuse in the city as reasons for leaving.
- The city helped transfer the migrants to their preferred destination on taxpayer-funded buses.
After thousands of illegal immigrants flooded New York City and were housed in free hotel rooms, some of them are now abandoning the city to move to Canada on taxpayer-funded buses, hoping to find better living conditions.
Some migrants told the New York Post that they accepted “free bus tickets” to Canada to flee the city, citing issues of homelessness and drug abuse.
One migrant, Raymond Peña, told the outlet, “I am going to Canada for a better quality of life for my family.”
New York City Mayor Eric Adams said that his city was happy to help transfer the migrants to their preferred destination.
The mayor has previously called for aid from the White House, expressing his frustration back in December. He said that there were nearly 21,000 migrants bussed to New York since last year.
Despite the crisis, the mayor has repeatedly presented the city as pro-migrant. His press secretary has said that “asylum seekers are also being provided with free roundtrip tickets on a NYC Ferry every day.”Â
Another migrant said he was one of those who were “kicked out” of the Row hotel near Times Square and sent to a homeless shelter in Brooklyn.Â
Last month, Row hotel whistleblower Felipe Rodriguez released photos and footage of illegal immigrants trashing the hotel and leaving “good” food out to rot. He said, “The chaos that we see at the Row today is [caused] by migrants being drunk, drinking all day, smoking marijuana [and] consuming drugs.”
He added that the hotel was struggling with other unacceptable behavior among the migrants, such as “domestic violence,” young people “having sex in the stairs,” and fighting with a hotel security officer.Â
A migrant from Venezuela, Manuel Rodon, told the New York Post, “A lot of the Americans used drugs there. I feel like Canada will be safer. It is a much quieter country than America.”

My daughter could not even move to Canada without having a job to immediately go to. English or French must be spoken. No Social Services or welfare provided, so how are these ILLEGALS being allowed in there??

Some illegals want to move to warmer locations. They must think they’re on vacation. They also think their wishes are our commands. They should go home and try to make their mother countries better places to live.
