Clear Facts
- Las Vegas Raiders’ Brock Bowers performed a Trump-inspired touchdown celebration during a game against the Miami Dolphins.

- The Raiders ended Bowers’ media session abruptly after discussing the celebration, raising questions.
Las Vegas Raiders’ player Brock Bowers made headlines with his touchdown celebration against the Miami Dolphins, inspired by none other than President-elect Donald Trump. Late in the third quarter, Bowers caught a crucial pass from Gardner Minshew II, closing the gap to five points. His subsequent dance move, seen by millions on the broadcast, was a nod to a recent trend.
“I’ve seen everyone do it,” Bowers explained. “I watched the UFC fight last night and Jon Jones did it. I like watching UFC, so I saw it and thought it was cool.”
Interestingly, the Raiders decided to cut Bowers’ media availability short after he addressed the celebration, a move that left many puzzled.
The Trump-inspired dance has been making waves across the NFL, with players like Calvin Ridley and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine of the Tennessee Titans, and Za’Darius Smith and Malcolm Rodriguez of the Detroit Lions joining in on the trend.
The dance gained significant attention when UFC star Jon Jones performed it after his victory over Stipe Miocic at UFC 309, with Trump himself watching from the sidelines.
Nick Bosa of the San Francisco 49ers was another athlete who embraced the dance. After sacking Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield, Bosa and his teammates joined in the celebration.
“I think you know the answer to that question,” Bosa remarked. “All the guys wanted me to do it. I wasn’t even going to do it, but the boys reminded me. And it was fun.”
As the trend continues to spread, it’s clear that this dance move is more than just a fleeting moment in sports culture.
