The Kansas City Chiefs continue to dominate the AFC West with another convincing victory over the Los Angeles Chargers. The 22-6 win at Arrowhead Stadium reinforced the team’s status as the division’s clear frontrunner heading into the postseason. The outcome followed the expected pattern with the Chiefs controlling both sides of the ball.

During the second quarter, with the Chiefs leading 9-3, Chris Jones briefly sat on the bench after a defensive series. Defensive line coach Joe Cullen approached Jones and placed a hand on his shoulder in a customary coaching gesture. Jones immediately reacted by removing the coach’s hand and engaging in a heated verbal exchange that caught the attention of cameras and the broadcast team.

“I believe Jones and Cullen have a great relationship,” Trent Green said during the CBS broadcast. “I don’t think Chris liked the fact that he put his hand on his shoulder. He should have asked him politely to take it off.”

Jones has thrived under Cullen’s coaching since 2022. The defensive tackle has earned first-team All-Pro honors three times, appeared in the Pro Bowl each season, and secured two Super Bowl championships during that period. The confrontation appears to have been momentary rather than reflective of any ongoing tension between the two.

Following the game, Jones was seen leaving the field alongside tight end Travis Kelce with no visible signs of lingering conflict. The Chiefs will face a more challenging matchup next Sunday night against the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks at Lumen Field.
