WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

  • Televangelist Pat Robertson said President Donald Trump will win the election because that’s what God told him.
  • The 90-year-old preacher also warned of civil unrest after the election.
  • For the third time, Robertson has also predicted that “maybe” five years after the election, an asteroid will hit the Earth.

On Tuesday, Christian Broadcasting Network founder Pat Robertson told “The 700 Club” that President Donald Trump will win the election. That’s “without question” because God told him so.

The 90-year-old televangelist also prophesied that about five years after the election, an asteroid will strike Earth, and “maybe” that will be “the end” for all humanity.

“First of all, I want to say without question, Trump is going to win the election,’’ the elderly preacher told the TV program.

Robertson added: “That doesn’t mean you sit home and don’t vote,” suggesting that Trump will not just win by a miracle.

“That means you get out and do everything you can to work, but he’s going to win. That’s, I think, a given,” he said with confidence.

Robertson also predicted that the election would be followed by violence. Not just for the country but the whole world — including civil unrest, at least two assassination attempts on Trump, and a war against Israel that will be “put down by God.”

Then, there will be “at least five years or more of extraordinary peace” before the planet is hit by an asteroid.

“What I think very frankly is the only thing that will fulfill the word of Jesus … is some kind of asteroid strike on the globe,’’ Robertson continued. “It’s sudden destruction. It’s not going to be some nuclear war. We’re not going to be allowed to blow this earth up.’’

He then described how the world will be damaged by the asteroid and said: “then, maybe the end” would come next.

This is at least the third time the televangelist has prophesied the end of the world. According to USA Today, Robertson made a similar prediction in 1976 when he said the world would end in 1982. Then in 1990, he forecasted the end of time to be on April 29, 2007 in his book “The New Millennium.”
