Signs of progress: Infrastructure upgrades in the US thanks to federal funding
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW!
- Signs are being put up across the US, stating that President Joe Biden deserves credit for new bridges and roads built with federal money.
- Biden aims to remind people of the $1 trillion infrastructure spending bill he pushed through and implemented in an efficient manner, improving lives in discernible ways.
- Though officials believe that projects are moving from conception to completion more quickly than before, it may prove to be a tough sell for Biden in the 2024 presidential election.
The United States is currently undergoing major infrastructure upgrades thanks to federal funding, and signs have been appearing across the country crediting President Joe Biden for the projects. The signs, which read “Project funded by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
President Joe Biden. Building a better America,” can be seen at various sites including the Brent Spence Bridge between Kentucky and Cincinnati. Biden hopes that by the 2024 presidential election, the improvements will have a positive impact on his campaign.
Since signing the $1 trillion infrastructure spending bill into law, approximately 20,000 projects have received funding. Coordinating the infrastructure program, Mitch Landrieu, the former mayor of New Orleans, is confident that people will see the benefits of the funding by the next election.
“There are projects coming out of the ground as we speak. Almost every physical project that you see coming out of the ground right now has a federal dollar in it,” Landrieu explained. “It’s going to be critically important. Some of these things will take a little bit more time, but most people will know.”
Despite Biden’s confidence in the success of these infrastructure projects, it may prove to be a difficult sell to voters. Officials of both parties have learned that upgrading tunnels, railways, and highways is a time-consuming process. In the past, then-President Barack Obama spent $50 billion on new transportation projects but came to realize that projects advertised as “shovel-ready” were not.
Although officials believe that projects are moving from conception to completion more quickly this time, some argue that Biden’s timeline may be too ambitious, given the complexities involving federal spending.
The positive effects of Biden’s infrastructure spending could be overshadowed by other issues such as high inflation, a potential recession, and rising prices of essentials like gas, food, energy, and housing.
Pollster John McLaughlin believes that “the negative impact of higher prices…is being felt now and hurting Biden and the Democrats badly.”
Despite the potential obstacles, Biden remains determined to highlight the improvements that have been made so far. Speaking to House Democrats at a retreat in Baltimore, Biden held up a sign for the city’s Frederick Douglass Tunnel, a project that will increase train speeds from 30 to over 100 mph.
“If we did nothing, nothing but implement what we’ve already passed and let the people know who did it for them, we win,” he said.

And doing nothing to fix runaway illegal immigration nor finishing the wall. He spent money TEARING DOWN SECTIONS of the wall and plans on doing more tear down, while making strapped taxpayers pay for tge expense of medical care for, educating, and feeding/housing and flying them to sites, usually in red states, all over the country. Let us not forget the housing of illegals at the NYC Waldorff and other megabucks hotels, with swimming, gyms, restaurants, that they now refuse to vacate. The illegals in the hotels are single adult males. The regular customers are not staying there any more (there have been assaults, we hear), and they are totally trashing the hotels, which likely will want FEDERAL TAXPAYER DOLLARS TO REBUILD, PLUS the daily cost of lodging there. Over 400,000 more illegals so far this year, including several groups (battalions?) of single, fighting aged males in matching camo outfits and most carrying weapons. Also two groups of twenty sine Chinese scientists have caught sneaking in.
Chinese illegals coming in have increased over 800% since last year alone. How many terrorist groups have NOT been caught?
Yuma, AZ last month stated they are currently stuck with a $400,000+ cost for providing medical care for the illegals, with no compensation from Biden so far. But since he’ll use taxpayer dollars to pay it, he’ll fork over the money. Local residents are being often being turned down for care as the hospital is full, so have to travel some 30-40 mile distance to get care. And the $400,000 is not the total; it is being added to daily. Yuma Hospital is facing bankruptcy if this doesnt stop, but their calls go unanswered, just like the East Palestinians.
Yeah, Biden. Great plans TO COLLAPSE OUR COUNTRY. China will appreciate any new road and bridge work. And they are famous for ENSLAVING PEOPLE to get work done.
How’re your Chinese language skills. Maybe Biden will start mandatory classes to learn it, per his mentor buddy Xi’s request.
And please contact your Congress people to stop birther baby instant citizenship (China is largest user of this insane policy), RESCIND CITIZENSHIPS already given out willy nilly, and also to prevent other countries from buying US land and businesses, and take back that they’ve already bought. NO OTHER COUNTRY has either of these destructive “privileges “.

The last time the Federal Government passed an “Infrastructure bill” that funded “Shovel ready projects”, the project nearest me was so “shovel ready” that the sign arrives 3 weeks after the shovels left.
