White House expects migrant surge when Title 42 is lifted [Video]
- The White House deferred to the CDC for the decision to lift Title 42, a public health directive that was put in place amid the pandemic.

As Title 42 is about to expire, the White House is deferring the decision to extend it or lift it to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). That being said, the Biden administration acknowledged that lifting the directive will result in an “influx of people to the border” that is already overwhelmed.
Title 42 is a public health directive implemented by the Trump administration to allow the barring and expulsion of migrants at the border during the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to a report from the Associated Press, the Biden administration “expected to end the asylum limits at the U.S.-Mexico border by May 23.”
When asked about it during a press briefing, White House director of communications Kate Bedingfield explained, “Title 42 is a public health directive, it is not an immigration or migration enforcement measure, so the decision on when to lift Title 42, we defer to the CDC.”
Bedingfield acknowledged that “when the CDC ultimately decides it’s appropriate to lift Title 42, there will be an influx of people to the border,” so the administration is “doing a lot of work to plan for that contingency.”
She cited the recent briefing from the Department of Homeland Security, which discussed plans to “increase efficiency” and ensure “that we are operating in a way that is treating migrants humanely, fairly.”
Democrats are somewhat split on their views of Title 42. Moderates have warned the administration against ending the directive, while progressives decried the order as “draconian.”
The number of migrant encounters increased from 101,099 in February 2021 to 164,973 in February this year. Border patrol officers expect a surge in the spring and summer months, just like what happened last year.
According to Border Patrol Chief Raul Ortiz, the U.S. could see the millionth encounter for this fiscal year at the southern border this week.

Lying corrupt Quid pro KING Joe intentionally caused the migrant surge, so why would Corrupt Quid Pro expect a migrant surge. everyone in this country knows what Corrupt Quid Pro is trying to do. Corrupt Quid pro wants as many illegals into this country ASAP. These people offer the U.S. nothing. These other countries are exporting their poverty to the U.S. They don’t take care of their own people with social programs and welfare. They are told want money in your pocket, a roof over your head, free medical, food stamps, free education for your kids, go to the U.S. They come to the U.S. and then Corrupt quid Pro gi ves out plenty of U.S. dollars to NGO’s (non governmental organizations) like Catholic Charities to take care of these people. The goal of the liberal commie Democrats and Corrupt Quid Pro to change the voting demographics of America forever, giving the liberal commie Democrats a one party rule. A one party rule=Communism. Communist China has a one party rule. Give the illegals lots of welfare and social programs, eventually give them amnesty and voting rights, and in return, in order to keep their welfare benefits, the will be told they will have to vote Democrat. Democrats have been buying their votes for years. The American Taxpayer is going to subsidize votes for Democrats. it’s too bad America doesn’t go back to public hangings. It would give me great pleasure to see Corrupt Quid hanging at the end of a rope in Dallas Stadium in front of 70,000 other hard working Americans.
