Maye Musk Finds Freedom Leaving Democrats, Backs Elon’s Bold $2 Trillion Plan
Clear Facts
- Maye Musk, mother of Elon Musk, expressed relief after leaving the Democratic Party, which she described as “malicious and dishonest.”
- Maye Musk criticized media outlets for their portrayal of Republicans and her son, Elon Musk.
- Elon Musk aims to reduce government waste by at least $2 trillion and has become a supporter of former President Trump.
Maye Musk, the mother of tech mogul Elon Musk, recently shared her sense of relief after transitioning from the Democratic to the Republican Party. She discussed her growing conservative views and the reasons behind her departure from the Democrats.
“When I became a U.S. citizen, of course, I was Democratic because they give you that option and because they’re the good kind people who care about America,” Maye explained. She recounted how media outlets painted Republicans negatively, which initially influenced her political stance.
However, she began to question the narratives when these same outlets criticized her son, Elon Musk.
“But then, they’d also say Elon is terrible, and I was thinking, why are they lying about Elon?” Maye said.
This realization led her to feel that the party was misguided.
“Then when I resigned from the Democrats, I just felt such a relief that I’m not part of the party that’s now malicious and dishonest. And my biggest fear is the fraud they are committing at the voting booths,” she added.
Elon Musk, who acquired Twitter in 2023 and rebranded it as X, has since transformed the platform into a space for open dialogue, provided it remains lawful. His political involvement has grown, with him becoming a notable supporter of former President Trump during the current election cycle.
At a Trump rally in Madison Square Garden, Elon announced his intention to cut at least $2 trillion in government waste, though some remain skeptical about the feasibility of this goal.
Maye Musk was questioned about her son’s ability to identify such significant amounts of waste.
“I think more than $2 trillion. I think he was just being modest. I mean, look what he’s done with Twitter and X. It’s incredible,” she remarked.
She further praised his ventures, saying, “And then, of course, Tesla was idiotic to do, and we heard it’s idiotic. SpaceX was idiotic. And how is he doing now?”
Maye has witnessed firsthand her son’s business acumen, having observed SpaceX meetings where engineers passionately present ideas and Elon engages with their proposals.
“They have a CEO who listens to them or gives them permission to make a change,” she noted. “And the same with Tesla.”
Despite Elon Musk’s association with Trump, which has led to criticism from various publications, Maye remains concerned about the impact of such reports on her son.
“I always worry about Elon, but don’t forget: Biden is on X. Kamala Harris is on X…all the Democrats are on X,” she stated. “It’s horrifying, and as a mother, it terrifies me.”

I will bet Musk will be able to reduce the U.S. waste by all government agencies by at a minimum of $10 trillion very quickly. The truth is the very people now tasked with dealing with the deficits is made up of mostly liberal big spenders. They are part of the problem.
