McCarthy: Putin ‘probably’ wouldn’t have ordered invasion if Biden supplied weapons sooner

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy said Sunday that Russia would not have invaded Ukraine if the U.S. supplied weapons sooner.
During an appearance on Fox News Sunday, McCarthy said “This is going to get stronger and rougher and what really needs to happen is, Ukraine is not asking for American men and women to fight, all they’re asking for is the weapons to defend themselves.”
“If we would have taken those actions earlier instead of waiting till after Russia invaded, they probably never would’ve invaded had we done that sooner,” he told Fox News chief Washington correspondent Mike Emanuel.
The California Republican noted that providing Ukraine weapons earlier could have saved thousands of lives.
“Ukraine was craving the ability to defend themselves,” McCarthy said. “Had we moved the weapons to Ukraine earlier, that they could defend themselves, it would have saved thousands of lives and probably the decision of Putin not to enter.”
Russian President Vladimir Putin launched the attack on Ukraine on Feb. 24. The war is now in its seventh week.
Since the start of the invasion, Washington has sent $2.6 billion in aid to Kyiv. To date, the Biden administration has already provided over $3.2 billion worth of security assistance to Ukraine.
On Wednesday, Biden announced an additional $800 million in military assistance to Ukraine. The aid included advanced military weapons.
McCarthy also criticized the administration for rejecting Poland’s proposal to transfer MiG-29 fighter jets to a U.S. airbase in Germany. The jets would then go to Ukraine to help in the fight.
Last month, Pentagon rejected the proposal because it was not “tenable.” Pentagon spokesperson John Kirby said it will only raise “serious concerns for the entire NATO alliance.”
“The president denied Ukraine and denied Poland for providing MiGs to Ukraine to protect themselves on a flyover. All of that is a wrong action going forward,” McCarthy said.
Last week, Russia has sent a formal letter to the U.S. warning against arming Ukraine or face “unpredictable consequences.”

It’s called getting the military equipment out of Afghanistan rather than just dropping and writing it off. Again very shitty handing areas to maybe keep the peace. It is not Biden but the whole demacrat party. Biden is a puppet, Obama has been in his pocket the whole time. He is doing what he can to get the global government going.

We do not need to send more and more to Ukraine. Let them defend their land. It is a very corrupt country and it was made worse when Obama threw out the old president and bought in dictator Zelenskyy. Zelenskyy is all for himself, he now owns several multimillion dollar homes, as long as he keeps sex and child trafficking in place and working, and keeps laundering money, everyone is happy. The Dems and even some Republicans get their cut of the money and Zelenskyy gets richer. Putin took out the tunnels under bidens compound and saved 35.000 children, he bombed the bio-labs and the compound. So bidens slice of terror is finished for now over there. Why should we defend a country like this? We should not! Enough money was sent to them and most of it will go into some of their DEMS and REPUBS pockets back here. We cannot support this, OBAMA and BIDEN are bankrupting this country. We are going to be the next country of poor starving people if we let them continue this crap. Cut the oil, made us dependent, cut supply chain, paying farmers NOT TO GROW FOOD…PEOPLE do you see what they are doing!

No s–t sherlock. When Russia was amassing troops on the border of the Ukraine, They weren’t their for war games. So this is either an intelligence failure on the part of the U.S. or Lying Corrupt Quid Pro KING Joe waited on purpose to help Ukraine after the fact or a little of both. The president of the U.S. is corrupt and is a crook, and for anyone or NATO country to look up to Corrupt Quid Pro as the leader of the free world, they need their head examined. What one says in public and one says under on the Ukraine are two different scenarios. One might have a suspicion that Corrupt Quid Pro is rooting for the Russians under his breath. corrupt Quid Pro and Hunter made millions out of the Ukraine and so did hypocrite commie Kerry. If the Ukraine falls to Russia, all this information on the dealings of Corrupt Quid Pro, Hunter and commie Kerry will disappear forever. NO lets get to the RINO’s. McCarthy and Beijing Mitch not only want to prevent Trump from running again, they have no intentions of impeaching Corrupt Quid Pro. The RINO’s are in collusion with the liberal commie Democrats. Voters should have their RINO’s subject to a primary. Vote them all out of office.
