If you have purchased Mockingbird Single-to-Double Strollers from Target stores nationwide or at multiple online stores from March 2020 through September 2022, stop using these strollers immediately.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued a recall order for these strollers as numerous reports indicated cracking of the frames that have caused injury to the children using them.
Included in the recall are strollers with lot numbers between 20091 and 22602. This batch is made of aluminum and comes in color black or silver. The stroller’s seat color is black and canopies range from black, light blue, dark blue, pink to light green.
There have been 138 reports of stroller frame cracks and eight injuries that involved bruising, scratches and cuts resulting from the cracking.
In the SaferProducts report, the strollers snapped in half causing children to fall to the ground. The children sustained injuries like cuts, rug burn on the neck and scratches on their hands and feet.
It is important to stop using the recalled strollers immediately and report it to Mockingbird. The company will be sending a free frame reinforcement kit that includes two frame claps that you could attach to the sides of the stroller once you contact them. They are currently getting in touch with their known clients who purchased the strollers.
Mockingbird can be reached through their toll-free number at 877-274-3240 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday, or through email at [email protected].
