WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

  • Vice President Pence believes getting runoffs for Senate is vital to keep the improvement initiated by Trump’s administration.
  • During a rally in Georgia, Pence told the crowd that they would keep on challenging the election results.
  • The vice president also urged the voters to keep Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue in the Senate.

If Vice President Mike Pence is to be asked, there’s crucial stability on the Senate runoffs campaign race in Georgia.

On Thursday, during a rally in Columbus, Ga., Pence recognized that the GOP needs to keep up in the elections on Jan. 5, where the Republican Senate majority is on the line, to make sure the progress made during Trump’s four-year term will be conserved.

While attempting to motivate Trump followers and other Republicans to vote for Senators Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue, Pence swore that they would continue to fight for all valid votes in the U.S.

The vice president’s assemblies in Columbus and Macon followed his fourth campaign march to Georgia from the start of runoff campaigns since the previous month.

The said rally, though, was Pence’s first to the state after failing to secure a victory on the lawsuit filed by the Texas attorney general along with other 17 states, Trump’s legal camp, and 100 Republican members to the Supreme Court challenging the presidential election outcome in Georgia and three regions where President-elect Joe Biden won by a slim margin.

Three days ago, the Electoral College made Biden’s win over Trump official.

Trump declines to concede to Biden as he claims there’s widespread voter fraud in crucial battleground states where the former vice president won. On Sunday, the president tweeted the election was the “MOST CORRUPT ELECTION IN U.S. HISTORY!” despite having no substantial evidence.

While Pence tried to shun away from such claims during the campaign period,  on Thursday, he pointed out that the presidential race’s challenges go on to law courts across the nation.

He also emphasized that the Republican majority in the Senate could play a crucial role in preserving what the Trump administration has done for the nation, adding that Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue must be on the Senate to block the incoming Biden administration’s agenda.

Many Republicans, though, are alarmed with the president’s continuous claim of massive election fraud in Georgia, and his unrelenting assault on the state’s GOP governor and secretary for declining to reject the election outcome could weaken turnout among dissatisfied Trump supporters.

Pence then urged the Americans to vote, noting that the rival party will be winning under that scenario.
