WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

  • During his exclusive interview with Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo, President Donald Trump’s personal attorney Rudy Giuliani said that the election would be “overturned,” as their camp will release evidence of voting fraud.
  • Giuliani said that the Dominion Voting System, the voting software used by 28 states in the election, was manipulated.
  • Trump’s campaign has continuously claimed that there’s voter fraud and already filed lawsuits to challenge Joe Biden’s victory.

During his Sunday interview with Fox News, President Donald Trump’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani claimed that the presidential election would be “overturned,” saying that they have proof that “corrupt machines” were used to delete millions of votes for the president.

Giuliani claimed that Trump was victorious in the key swing states versus presidential rival Joe Biden.

“In every one of those states, we have more than enough illegal ballots already documented to overturn the result in that state,” Giuliani told Fox News’ ‘Sunday Morning Futures’ host Maria Bartiromo.

“They didn’t allow Republicans in those key places to observe the mail vote. That makes the mail vote completely invalid,” he added.

Trump’s request for a recount meant that he needs to overthrow Biden’s 65,000 lead in Pennsylvania and 146,000 advantage in Michigan.

On Friday, the president’s legal team already surrendered their case in the Grand Canyon state, admitting that Biden indeed won in Arizona.

Giuliani said that they have secured affidavits from individuals who claimed that they witnessed voting fraud in favor of Biden.

“We already have enough affidavits from people who were pushed out from being able to observe, so in each one of those states that he lost narrowly, he won those states probably by 2-3 percent,” he told Bartiromo.

Trump’s campaign has also claimed that the Dominion Voting System company, the makers of the voting software that was used during the election in 28 states, was tampered.

The company, however, has refuted the allegation which was also disproved by news outlets like The New York Times and the Associated Press.

Giuliani argued that they have evidence to support their accusation and that they would release it in due time.

“We have proof that I can’t disclose yet,” Giuliani said of the ‘corrupt machines.’ “This has to be examined, Maria, beyond this election, which I believe will get overturned.”

According to the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, the agency that takes care of the nation’s election, the 2020’s election was “the most secure in American history.” Trump and his allies, though, have still continuously claimed widespread voting fraud.

The president’s campaign has filed a barrage of lawsuits, challenging the election results in key battleground states. Some of the cases, however, were already debunked by judges since they lack substance and were just ‘hearsay.’

According to the AP, Biden leads Trump with 306-232 electoral votes. The former vice president also leads in the popular vote by over 5.7 million votes, as of Sunday morning.
