  • During a Southwest Airlines flight, the captain became “incapacitated” and needed medical attention.
  • An off-duty pilot from another airline helped navigate the plane and assisted with radio communication while the Southwest pilot flew the aircraft.
  • The plane was returned to Las Vegas after an hour and 17 minutes in the air, and another flight crew came in to take the plane to its original destination, Columbus, Ohio.

A Southwest Airlines pilot became incapacitated during a recent flight, and an off-duty pilot from another airline stepped in to help land the plane. Southwest Flight #6013 departed Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas on Wednesday, but soon after takeoff, the captain “needed medical attention,” according to a spokesperson for Southwest Airlines. The airline did not provide details on the nature of the medical issue.

During the flight, a credentialed pilot who was traveling as a passenger on the plane entered the flight deck and helped with radio communication while the Southwest pilot flew the aircraft. After an hour and 17 minutes in the air, the off-duty pilot and the Southwest pilot returned the Boeing 737 to Las Vegas, where another flight crew took over and continued the flight to its original destination, Columbus, Ohio.

Southwest Airlines thanked the off-duty pilot for their assistance and commended the crew for their professionalism. The airline also appreciated the patience and understanding of its customers regarding the situation. The Federal Aviation Administration is currently investigating the incident.

Last month, an Air Canada airliner almost collided with an American Airlines plane on the runway at the Sarasota–Bradenton International Airport in Florida. As a result, the FAA issued a warning on Wednesday, urging pilots to take safety actions and be aware of the risks of collisions during runway crossings.

Southwest Airlines thanked the off-duty pilot for either HIS or HER assistance, not THEIR assistance!! Take this woke nonsense somewhere else…

I thought so too and feel reaffirmed that others also picked up on it. “Their” is nonsense. They could have avoided the gender mentioning just by saying that they thanked the off-duty pilot “for assisting.”

Oh they’re still jabbing pilots huh? That’s the REAL reason why the pilot was suddenly ‘incapacitated’ and in need of medical attention – lets’ be honest shall we for a change?

Every pilot who took the jab is in violation of FAA rules, and every company that mandated their pilots take the jab also violated FAA rules. No pilot is allowed to fly if they are taking *any* experimental or new drug that has not been fully approved and on the market for over 1 year. The jabs STILL are under EUA and experimental by definition. The jabs are also bioweapons by definition, but that’s for another time. I lost my executive job because I refused the jab – these pilots should have done the same (they would now be hired back without having poisoned themselves). Any rational person knew the truth would eventually come out. People are dropping like flies and you don’t hear a word about it on the mainstream media, while the same media streamed fake COV!D death counts 24×7 to keep the fear up.
And c’mon Crystal Clear News, clickbait headlines for old stories (and woke as James Herman commented above) just wastes readers time – you could have used this all-too-common incident to actually expose the Marxist media for hiding the real story. There were FIVE pilot “incapacitated” incidents in the last 2 weeks. The FAA modified what it considers normal EKGs for pilot physicals to the point where the EKG is meaningless – a pilot can be seriously ill with a heart condition and will pass the new FAA EKG threshold.

Fred is absolutely correct, his first two sentences speaks the true facts on this EXPERIMENTAL bio-weapon vaxxxcine which was MANDATED by this illegal administration, it’s completely against the Nuremberg Codes on medical ethics after WW2. The FAA has been in spatial disorientation for a long time, completely out of control, period!

As a retired airline pilot, I have seen the late reaction approach to the aviation industry by the FAA, incompetence is in Washington DC, America is in trouble, not difficult to figure out.

My apologies. Actually, I agree with you. Incompetence is everywhere.
