US conducts airstrikes in Syria in response to drone attack by Iranian forces [Video]

On Thursday, a drone of Iranian origin attacked a maintenance facility for coalition forces near Hasakah in northeast Syria, killing one U.S. contractor and injuring five others. The Pentagon announced that the U.S. military carried out precision airstrikes against affiliates of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) in response to the attack and recent similar incidents against Coalition forces in Syria by groups affiliated with the IRGC.
Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin stated that the airstrikes were conducted at the direction of President Biden, and that “No group will strike our troops with impunity.”
The incident occurred amid growing concerns over Iran’s nuclear program. General Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, testified during a hearing on Capitol Hill on Thursday that Iran is “several more months” away from producing an “actual nuclear weapon.”
Meanwhile, Israeli officials have reportedly warned officials in the U.S. and Europe that Israel will strike Iran if it enriches uranium past a 60% threshold, which Iran has been approaching in recent months.
Iran has also been receiving support from Russia and China, which has further raised concerns. Russia is reportedly considering supplying Iran with S-400 missile systems, an anti-air missile system that Israel fears could protect Iran’s nuclear facilities from an airstrike.
China, on the other hand, has helped Iran build diplomatic ties in the region and served as the middle man for a recent agreement between Iran and Saudi Arabia.
The U.S. has stated that it will take all necessary measures to defend its people and will always respond at a time and place of its choosing.
However, the situation remains tense as Iran continues to develop its nuclear program and receives support from powerful allies.

Are we about to go to war with Iran? Since Russia and China are suppling Iran with things they need. does that mean that we will be in a war with Russia and China also?. That’s something we definitely don’t need. What is wrong with this country? Do we have to be on the verge of war or in a war with other countries all the time? Why can’t we get along with the other countries? How many Americans will die if we get into another war? I know very few other countries have any respect for us anymore, and are certainly not afraid of us. With the debt we have now, another war will finish bankrupting this country and we will have nothing.

We do not have a mutual defense treaty with Ukraine or Saudi Arabia. We invaded Syria and Serbia and Iraq and still have US forces in them. We still have forces in Cuba. Time to withdraw from all nations we do not have mutual defense treaty obligations with. We should also withdraw from all NATO nations that have not met their defense funding obligations. US tax payers have been carrying load for these free loaders. Time for our government to listen to the people and the majority are isolationist. We have natural resources to be independent and self sufficient. Time to rebuild fortress America with strength to crush any who attack us.

It’s those in charge in the USA that have brought it to this point. These same people are ideology driven.
They have lost touch with other Americans whom they throw in jail. They do not think of the safety of the people: Americans. With this kind of mental aberration, (I can’t imagine a better word) it’s not hard to figure out how it came to this.

Now how does Milley know they are still several months away from making the bomb? They no longer have access to their facilities. I would wager they had the bomb a couple of years ago.

We should protect our alliances with other Countries,but realistically we are in a weaker position to insight a conflict that could turn into costing lives on both sides of the isles,spending for peace is where we should invest,yes we have to be prepared for the unknown act of violence,but let our adversaries know we want to work out our differences with friendship.

When Iran attacked us and kidnapped our diplomats we had every justification to turn it into sea of glass or to break it up and give parts to neighbors. Their neighbors would have applauded and we would not have the problems we have today. Just another Carter screw up. When he is gone will not be loss to USA.

Biden/Obama administration sending all our tanks, war supplies to Ukraine, at the same time disarming Americans!
When China, Russia, Iran, etc want to attack us we won’t have enough to defend our country from them, which this administration is working on…..
Keep your M16, AK47, anything that will help protect the US.
Get rid of Biden/Obama, get our supplies back from wherever they sent them, we are going to need them!
