WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

  • Senior US officials told multiple outlets that Russia has asked China for military support amid its invasion of Ukraine.
  • National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan told CNN Sunday the administration is concerned about the report.
  • Sullivan said China has been warned that the US won’t stand by and allow any country to help Russia.

US officials have said Russia asked China for military assistance and economic aid to help with their invasion of Ukraine and counteract sanctions, The New York Times first reported on Sunday.

Other media outlets, including The Washington PostCNN, and Fox News also reported the news, citing unnamed US officials. The Times and The Post reported that the US officials declined to release any additional information on the types of weapons Russia requested.

Chinese Embassy’s spokesperson Liu Pengyu told CNN that he’s “never heard” that Russia requested help from China.

“China is deeply concerned and grieved on the Ukraine situation. We sincerely hope that the situation will ease and peace will return at an early date,” Pengyu told CNN.

Russia was hit with major sanctions from the West after it launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24. The US, UK, and European Union were among those to impose sanctions on the country.

Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping met as recently as February 4, after which they released a statement criticizing the US and declaring that the friendship between Russia and China has “no limits.” But Xi has stopped short of fully siding with Putin on the war in Ukraine, Insider’s Mattathias Schwartz reported.

Ukrainian forces have been able to hold off the invasion in much of the country but military assistance from China could be a major boon to Russian forces. Meanwhile, Ukraine has received military support and weapons from western allies.

The White House on Saturday approved $200 million in weapons to be delivered to Ukraine, following the US Senate last week approving $13.6 billion in emergency humanitarian and military aid for Ukraine.

White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan told CNN’s Dana Bash on Sunday that the administration is concerned about the possibility of China providing help to Russia. He also said there’s reason to believe China might have known Russia was planning something before the invasion.

“We also are watching closely to see the extent to which China actually does provide any form of support, material support or economic support, to Russia. It is a concern of ours. And we have communicated to Beijing that we will not stand by and allow any country to compensate Russia for its losses from the economic sanctions,” Sullivan said.

Sullivan said the administration has told China that there would “absolutely be consequences” if there are efforts to help Russia circumvent the impact of US sanctions. He did not say whether or not the US would impose sanctions on China if it helped Russia.

Must be nice to be (FOS). The U.S. Gov’t. is going to go after China? How so? The U.S. is going to ban the importation of TV’s and Microwaves from Communist China. The U.S. sits on the sidelines while innocent Ukrainian civilians are intentionally being bombed out, and they are going to go after Communist China for helping Russia. Lying Corrupt Quid Pro won’t let Poland transfer over Polish MIGS to Ukraine, it’s an offensive weapon. Well if that’s what it’s going to take to shoot down Russian A/C then so be it. Soot enough Russian fighter jets down, kill enough Russian troops, they will pack up and go back to Russia. Corrupt Quid Pro is on the side of Putin. Corrupt Quid Pro wants Ukraine to fall. If Ukraine falls all information related to Hunter Biden and corrupt Quid Pro’s under handed dealings with the Ukraine disappear forever. One would ask what was the 3.5 million dollar payment Hunter received from the wife of the ex-mayor oligarch mayor of Moscow for. One can bet that money came from Putin and Hunter was the bag man for the Big Guy, just like the Mayor of Moscow was the bag man for Putin. Don’t expect much on Communist China. Corrupt Quid Pro doesn’t hold Communist China accountable for the Wuhan Virus, he certainly is not going to put the screws to Communist China over the Ukraine. Corrupt Quid Pro Crime Family made millions under the table from Communist China. Communist China owns Corrupt Quid Pro. Corrupt Quid Pro is beholden to Communist China. Corrupt Quid Pro is a compromised POTUS a traitor, has accepted money from Russia, Ukraine, and Communist China. Corrupt Quid Pro isn’t the only U.S. politician that has sold out to a foreign entity. Communist China could have Corrupt Quid Pro over a barrel. What’s corrupt Quid Pro going to do, the U.S. puts sanctions on Communist China and Communist China stops exporting pharmaceuticals to the U.S.?

That pussy obiden isn’t going to do shit! His sheeple that he holds under his boots lap up the lies like maple syrup. Let me spell our the mentality of a DemonRAT. A conservative friend of mine was on his lunch break surrounded by DemonRATS, who were also on their lunch break. He asks those moronic toads to name just one thing China joe obiden has accomplished for the American Citizens. Here it comes; their answer to that direct and simple question was this; “he hasn’t done anything wrong”. They are the dumbest son-of-a-bitches on planet earth. I have to ask. How fucking stupid are these DemonRATS? Our God must have a sense of humor, because he made so many braindead twerps called; DemonRATS. I weep for the future!
