Vice President JD Vance recently took a firm stand against ABC national correspondent Terry Moran, who targeted Stephen Miller, the White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy, in a disparaging post on X. Moran’s post, which has since been deleted, described Miller as “a world-class hater,” prompting a strong response from Vance.

Vance shared a screenshot of Moran’s tweet and criticized it as a “vile smear.” He urged viewers to remember this incident when considering ABC’s coverage of the Trump administration.

“An ABC journalist, @TerryMoran, posted this absolutely vile smear of Stephen Miller. It’s dripping with hatred,” Vance stated.

He went on to defend Miller, emphasizing that he knows him well and believes Miller is driven by a deep “love of country.” According to Vance, Miller’s dedication stems from a concern that individuals like Moran create rules that ordinary Americans must follow, while the well-connected do not.

“It’s why he fought so hard to get President Trump elected and why he works so hard to implement the agenda,” Vance added. He called for ABC to apologize to Miller, describing Moran’s post as “disgraceful.”

This incident isn’t the first time ABC has faced criticism. The network previously settled a defamation lawsuit after George Stephanopoulos, host of “This Week,” referred to President Donald Trump as a “rapist” during an interview with Republican Rep. Nancy Mace of South Carolina.

As of now, ABC has not issued any public comment regarding Moran’s post or Vance’s demand for an apology.
