The Trump administration has taken decisive action against relatives of the late Iranian General Qasem Soleimani by revoking their green cards and placing them in custody. Hamideh Soleimani Afshar and her daughter, Sarinasadat Hosseiny, were detained after officials identified their active support for a designated terror organization.
Reports indicate Afshar traveled to Iran multiple times despite her asylum status while spreading anti-American rhetoric. Her former associates describe her as a dangerous individual who exploited others while enjoying the freedoms of the country she publicly condemned.
“She scares me. I was so afraid of her. She knows how to make herself seem like an angel and you feel like the devil. I wanted someone to take her away – now it’s happened,”
Maziar Aflaki told reporters.
“While living in the United States, she promoted Iranian regime propaganda, celebrated attacks against American soldiers and military facilities in the Middle East, praised the new Iranian Supreme Leader, denounced America as the ‘Great Satan,’ and voiced her unflinching support for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, a designated terror organization,” the State Department said.
“She takes advantage of every man she knows,”
Aflaki added. “She was saying ‘I love you’ but I was so afraid. She said I reminded her of her dad. All these years I was suffering. I wanted to have my life back.”
“She’s very dangerous – a professional troublemaker,”
Aflaki stated.
The removal of these individuals highlights a commitment to national security and the protection of American values against foreign subversion. General Soleimani was responsible for the deaths of countless American troops before his elimination in 2020.
