WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

  • President Donald Trump’s campaign adviser Jason Miller said that Trump would grill presidential rival Joe Biden on his alleged Ukrainian dealings in their upcoming final debate.
  • Miller also criticized the Commission on Presidential Debates for not concentrating on the “foreign policy” issue which was one of the prime topics for the final debate.
  • Biden’s campaign had debunked the allegation, saying that no meeting was held between Biden and Ukraine officials.

On Monday, President Donald Trump’s campaign adviser Jason Miller said that the president would lay on the table the accusation against Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden Ukrainian dealings in this week’s final debate.

As reported by the New York Post last week, Biden allegedly met with a Ukrainian business associate of his son Hunter which was obtained from emails recovered from the hard drive of Hunter’s laptop.

“I think Joe Biden is compromised … Joe Biden has now dodged this multiple times. Are you the ‘big guy?’ Are you the ‘chairman?’ Is Hunter Biden handling family expenses and setting aside money for you?” Miller said on Fox Business’ Mornings with Maria.

“If Kristen Welker, the moderator, doesn’t bring it up, I think you’re pretty safe to assume that the president will. Again, these are real simple questions.”

He also slammed the Commission on Presidential Debates for downplaying the issue of foreign policy, which was supposedly one of the main topics for the third and final presidential debate.

“We were supposed to have a debate largely focused on foreign policy this next Thursday, which would be perfect especially as we talk about the issue of Joe Biden potentially being compromised,” Miller said on Fox News Sunday. “I wish we were spending a lot more time going into foreign policy, especially as President Trump has these peace deals that he’s able to point to.”

He further continued: “We do know that Joe Biden lied to the American public when he said he never discussed his son Hunter’s business dealings… Joe Biden has not come out and himself denied any of these allegations … think we’re going to hear a lot more about this on Thursday at the debate.”

As Election Day comes in two weeks, Miller’s remarks suggested a reinforced tirade against the Bidens by the Trump campaign.

On Monday, he also called out the former vice president’s siblings, Frank and James, accusing them of being “grifters” and “making a lot of money off the system for years.”

According to Biden’s campaign team, the former vice president’s “official schedules from the time and no meeting, as alleged by the New York Post, ever took place.”

In his interview with CNN, House Intelligence Committee Chairman Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) said that the emails were part of a smear campaign initiated by “the Kremlin” as Democrats also criticized the report.

Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe, however, told FOX Business on Monday that Schiff’s argument has no intelligence basis.
