President Donald Trump stated in a recent interview that he has left explicit orders to retaliate decisively against Iran if he is ever assassinated.
The warning follows repeated threats from Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who shared images depicting Trump in a coffin.
“They shouldn’t be doing it, but I’ve left notification. Anything ever happens, the whole country is going to get blown up,” Trump told Katie Pavlich.
He criticized President Biden for not addressing the threats from Iran, saying strong action is necessary to protect American leaders.
“But a president has to defend a president. If I were here, and they were making that threat to somebody, even, not even a president, but somebody, like they did with me, I would absolutely hit them so hard,” Trump said.
“But I have very firm instructions — anything happens, they’re going to wipe them off the face of this earth.”
The Justice Department recently indicted a senior member of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard for plotting to kill former National Security Advisor John Bolton with a $300,000 bounty.
Trump also previously warned Iran not to harm protestors, threatening a response if demonstrators were executed by the regime.
A major U.S. operation in June 2025 saw Air Force bombers destroy critical nuclear facilities in Iran, using advanced weaponry and suffering no American casualties.
The strike further weakened Iran’s nuclear ambitions and reinforced America’s commitment to national security.
