Iran’s Space Program Sites Under Suspicion

Clear Facts
- Iran’s nuclear development agency is operating covertly at key space program sites.
- The Shahroud Space Center is involved in developing nuclear warheads for missiles with extended range capabilities.
- The Imam Khomeini Spaceport is being used to develop liquid-fuel technologies potentially for nuclear warheads.
Recent revelations have unveiled a covert operation within Iran’s Ministry of Defense, where a nuclear development agency is discreetly functioning at prominent sites associated with Iran’s space program. This clandestine activity has been masked under the guise of commercial enterprises, raising significant concerns about the dual-use of space technology for nuclear weapons development.
Evidence gathered over several months by sources embedded within the Iranian regime has exposed that the Organization of Defensive Innovation and Research, a key player in Iran’s nuclear ambitions, is active at two major locations previously identified as space development and launch sites.
“These reports, compiled from dozens of sources and thoroughly validated, indicate that in recent months, SPND has intensified its efforts to construct nuclear warheads at both the Shahrud and Semnan sites,” according to a report by the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI).
The Shahroud Space Center, a site already under suspicion for its role in developing intermediate-range ballistic missiles, has now been reported to host “large-scale” SPND personnel. Alireza Jafarzadeh, the NCRI’s deputy director in Washington, D.C., described this as a “significant red flag.”
In 2022, the Shahroud Space Center gained international attention when Iran announced the development of the Ghaem-100 rocket. This rocket, capable of sending low-orbit satellites into space, also possesses the potential to serve as a ballistic missile with a range of nearly 1,400 miles. However, sources familiar with the center’s activities have revealed that “SPND’s experts are working on a nuclear warhead for the Ghaem100 solid-fuel missile with a range of more than 3,000 kilometers [more than 1,800 miles] and a mobile launch pad.”
Security measures at the site are stringent, with personnel required to park at a checkpoint and then be transported into the complex by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). The NCRI report highlights that “The Ghaem-100 missile, with a mobile launchpad that enhances its military capability, was produced by the IRGC Aerospace Force and copied from North Korean missiles.”
The second site, the Imam Khomeini Spaceport in Semnan, recently made headlines when Iran launched its heaviest-ever rocket into space. This launch utilized a liquid propellant, which is being developed for potential use in nuclear warheads.
“Creating a Space Command of the IRGC’s Aerospace Force has served to camouflage the development of nuclear warheads under the guise of launching satellites while additionally giving the regime independent communications necessary for guiding the nuclear warheads,” Jafarzadeh explained.
The International Atomic Energy Agency has warned that Iran has amassed approximately 440 pounds of near-weapons grade uranium enriched to 60% purity. While this falls short of the 90% purity needed for a nuclear bomb, it is enough to potentially develop five nuclear bombs if further enriched.
Jafarzadeh cautioned that the focus should not solely be on uranium enrichment.
“It is naïve to only focus on calculating the amount or purity of enriched uranium without concentrating on the construction of the nuclear bomb or its delivery system,” he stated. “All are integral components of giving Iran’s mullahs an atomic bomb.”

There’ll be no nuclear treaties with Islamists-not worth the paper. Muslim scholars teach that Muslims should generally be truthful to each other… unless the purpose of lying is to “smooth over differences” or “gain the upper-hand over an enemy.”
There are several forms of lying to non-believers that are permitted under certain circumstances, the best known being taqiyya (the Shia name). These circumstances are typically those that advance the cause of Islam – in some cases by gaining the trust of non-believers in order to draw out their vulnerability and defeat them.
This included lying over ceasefires and treaties.

Israel has the power and the locations of these sites. Israel should be the one to wipe out Iran because Iran’s goal to “wipe Israel off the face of the Earth” is a promise”. Israel has the right to prevent that from happening.
