Children’s Hospital Hides DEI Programs to Dodge Trump’s Funding Cuts: Report

Seattle Children’s Hospital has come under scrutiny for allegedly circumventing a federal ban on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs, according to a whistleblower account.
An anonymous employee revealed that the hospital has not adhered to President Donald Trump’s directive to eliminate what he termed “illegal and immoral discrimination programs.”
On his Inauguration Day, Trump issued an executive order that demanded the termination of all DEI-related mandates and activities within the federal government.
He emphasized that such initiatives should be eradicated “under whatever name they appear.”
The executive order also threatened the withdrawal of federal funding from grantees who failed to comply.
Seattle Children’s Hospital, which has received $1.3 billion in federal funds since 2008, saw its funding rise significantly starting in 2019, averaging $130 million annually through 2024.
Despite removing some DEI references from its website, the hospital reportedly continues these initiatives under different names.
The whistleblower noted that “Inclusion Groups,” aimed at minority staffers, remain active, although they are no longer listed on the hospital’s website.
The hospital’s leadership reportedly announced during a February 26 town hall that it would change its naming conventions to comply with Trump’s order.
“The DEI culture at Seattle Children’s Hospital is a culture of fear,” the employee stated.
“Employees are terrified of being accused of racism and religious discrimination, so there’s a toxic culture of fear, which really stifles free speech.”
The hospital’s website still features an “Anti-Racism & EDI” section, detailing its commitment to “health equity and anti-racism.”
New hires are reportedly required to undergo “diversity and so-called microaggression training.”
Dr. Kurt Miceli, medical director at Do No Harm, expressed concern over the hospital’s actions.
“It’s unfortunate to see Seattle Children’s Hospital, an institution noted for holding racially segregated diversity trainings, decide to secretly push its DEI agenda,” he said.
He further added, “As with all hospitals, Seattle Children’s should focus on providing the best care to patients instead of wasting resources on radical political priorities.”
In response to the Trump administration, the hospital has reportedly ceased offering gender mutilating surgeries to children, although it allegedly continues to prescribe irreversible cross-sex hormones.
Seattle Children’s Hospital did not respond to requests for comment.

DEI is the most bigoted fascistic policy ever initiated. It has been proven to create tension in every situation in which it is mandated, and it IS mandated. Few would voluntarily utilize such a biased policy. If this hospital is still subjecting its employees to these illegal and biased policies, those in charge need to be fired without references and replaced with those who are NOT biased against anyone.

This is what this nation has come to! It’s OK to spend millions on sporting events, golf, and auto racing, but one must hide life-saving projects that ensure the health of our next generation and the generations to come.
This is the idiot who exploited a young child in a photo op while closing out a program that would possibly save his life and help him survive to adulthood.
Our society is warped when the wealthy exploit the system to their advantage while destroying programs that will provide support to the middle class, the backbone of this great nation.
If Trump wants to vacation, he should have to pay for it, just as any other federal employee. NO more free rides, which is what he is imposing upon the citizenry.

Secretly hiding procedures that have been proven to cause serious physical and mental problems are strictly related to “$$$$$ is not only wrong but illegal. How many more video expose’ stories do we need to see from young people that were put through body part manipulation and excision before we hold the people responsible accountable? School employees and the medical profession have gone insane because they have found ways of making huge amounts of money on procedures that are blatantly wrong. Gender dysphoria is a mental condition not a physical condition. Doctors performing these procedure need to be in prison for life.

I do like the way you twist the truth though…..maybe you can explain how equity training meetings that keep staff away from their young patients contribute in any way to better health outcomes. That’s what is being hidden. We’re talking about DEI here – as in ‘Didn’t Earn It’ – and you’re referencing ‘life-saving projects’. How is one even remotely related to the other?
