Seth Day, appearing undoubtedly masculine, told CTV News he doesn’t “identify as a man or woman, sort of somewhere in between.”
On a shopping excursion dated Aug. 25, Day, in a decision likely to raise eyebrows amongst many, decided to use the women’s restroom.
An unnamed Walmart employee, said to be an assistant manager, felt it was necessary to address the situation, probably reflecting the concerns of countless other shoppers.
Day recounted the confrontation, quoting the employee who had alleged Day made other customers uncomfortable: “To which I responded that there was no gender-neutral bathroom or family bathroom,” Day said.
“What bathroom am I supposed to use, then? What about my comfort as a client?”
He later described the whole encounter as “really traumatic and stressful, being treated so unkindly.”
Taking offense to this, Day has since filed a discrimination complaint with the Quebec Human Rights Commission, asserting the Walmart employee “act[ed] like trans people are less than.”
Many readers might wonder when common-sense decisions by businesses to ensure the comfort and safety of all their customers became an actionable offense.
By the time the Daily Caller got wind of the story, Walmart Canada had yet to offer their side of the narrative.
It’s worth noting the Canadian Human Rights Act’s stance on this issue, which explicitly rules out any “discriminatory practices based on … sexual orientation, gender identity or expression.”
Canada’s official stance on gender identity reads: “Transgender persons have a right to be treated according to their deeply-felt gender identity,” and goes on to defend a person’s right to use facilities aligning with their “deeply-felt” identity, regardless of their anatomical reality.

it’s simple you tell the idiot he’s a a male and you have to use the men’s room but if you go in the women rest room you are going to get HURT, so try to avoid it

Why is it that we should need to accommodate the whims of the clearly confused individuals who can’t make up their mind as to their “gender”? A beard and a vagina make for a bit of lunacy. Shave the beard, wear a dress and use the woman’s restroom.

He should have ben told that ALL bearded “ladies” must use the men’s bathroom!!! Maybe he needed a tampon, which are NOT available in the men’s room. Put tampon dispensers in all men’s bathrooms so this doesn’t happen again!!!

I guess he can go into the men’s room just as easily
and find some other way to score his 15 mins of fame(infamy).
