Eric Swalwell Run Faces New Pressure Over Allegations

Clear Facts
- Democrat activist Cheyenne Hunt claims multiple women are preparing sexual harassment allegations against California Representative Eric Swalwell.
- The accusations include claims of predatory behavior toward interns and fans through social media messaging.
- Swalwell is currently a leading candidate in the primary race to succeed Governor Gavin Newsom in California.
Cheyenne Hunt, executive director of Gen-Z for Change, said she is working with several women to bring forward accusations against the congressman.
Hunt said the women have secured legal representation and are sharing details with reporters about alleged manipulation and abuse of power.
“I got involved because the first victim who approached me is a close friend. When I saw that there were others whose experiences fit the same pattern of manipulation and abuse of power, I knew I couldn’t stay silent.”
The allegations reportedly involve direct messages and Snapchat communications ranging from uncomfortable comments to potentially criminal conduct.
Hunt claimed the California Democrat targeted employees and interns while acting as a mentor to exploit his position.
“Other women needed to know that they were not alone and that someone had their backs if they came forward. After I spoke about my friend’s experience, many brave women came forward and shared their stories with me.”
Swalwell has served in the House since 2013 and previously faced scrutiny regarding alleged ties to a Chinese spy.
He officially entered the gubernatorial race in late 2025 and currently leads some polls with 17% of the vote.
“You know Eric Swalwell has slept with many of his interns and makes them all sign NDAs so they don’t speak up, right? And when I was 19 he tried hitting on me and sliding into my DMs.”
Hunt, a former congressional candidate herself, noted that Swalwell’s team is likely aware of the public claims though no legal paperwork has been served.
Additional Democratic strategists have echoed these warnings, suggesting the forthcoming details will shock the public.
“And while it may be seen as politically expedient to sweep this under the rug, it is the wrong thing to do and we know it.”
The women involved are reportedly ensuring their physical and legal safety before making formal public statements.
Swalwell’s office has not yet issued a formal response to the specific allegations posted on social media.
