WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

  • Russian President Vladimir Putin has threatened to deploy the new ‘Satan-2’ nuclear missile by the end of 2022.
  • The ‘Satan-2’ is reportedly the world’s longest-range intercontinental ballistic missile that can reach the UK in just three minutes.
  • Russia earlier threatened to launch Satan-2 missiles to strike Finland, the UK, and the US.

Russian President Vladimir Putin bragged on Wednesday that the country’s newest nuclear missile, the “RS-28 Sarmat” could be ready for deployment by the end of the year. NATO has dubbed the 14-story-tall intercontinental ballistic missiles “Satan-2.”

Putin issued the threat while speaking in front of graduates from Russia’s military academies.

Putin boasted that the “RS-28 Sarmat” nuclear missile has no competition in the world.

“The Sarmat heavy intercontinental ballistic missile was successfully tested,” Putin told the military graduates. “It is planned that by the end of this year, the first such complex will be put on combat duty.”

Moscow announced the first test launch of ‘Satan-2’ in April. The following month, Dmitry Rogozin, head of Roscosmos — Russia’s state space agency — said Russia’s arsenal will soon include 50 new missiles.

“I suggest that aggressors speak to us more politely,” Rogozin threatened at the time.

‘Satan-2’ was first introduced in 2018. It can carry 10 or more nuclear warheads and decoys and has an estimated range between 6,200 and 11,800 miles, allowing the Kremlin to strike targets anywhere in the world. Reportedly, it can reach the UK in just three minutes.

In May, the Kremlin threatened to deploy ‘Satan-2 missiles’ to strike Finland, the UK and the US, after President Sauli Niinisto initiated Finland’s intention to join NATO.

“If Finland wants to join this bloc, then our goal is absolutely legitimate — to question the existence of this state. This is logical,” said Aleksey Zhuravlyov, deputy chairman of the Russian parliament’s defense committee.

“If the United States threatens our state, it’s good: Here is the Sarmat [Satan-2 missile] for you, and there will be nuclear ashes from you if you think that Russia should not exist,” Zhuravlyovadded. “And Finland says that it is at one with the USA. Well, get in line.”

Putin also said Wednesday that his administration was committed to modernizing and strengthening Russia’s armed forces amid “potential military threats and risks.”

“Among the priority areas is equipping the troops with new weapon systems that will determine the combat effectiveness of the army and navy in the years and decades to come,” he said.

Putin also praised Russian soldiers and officers who joined Russia in a “special military operation” in Ukraine, claiming that they were acting “courageously, professionally, like real heroes.”

I really doubt that putin would have started this war if Trump was President, putin knew that Trump would do what he promised and there was some fear from putin that russia would pay dearly for their aggression. Not now, biden and”herd”are wimps and the only think that they are good at is destroying AMERICA.
