Mitchell now holds the record with 1,034 points this season, surpassing the previous mark of 1,021 set by A’ja Wilson in 2024. She has now scored at least 20 points in 25 consecutive games, extending her own WNBA record.

Caitlin Clark returned to the lineup after helping the United States win the women’s FIBA World Cup in Germany. Clark scored 28 points and dished out 14 assists in her first game back, matching her season high in assists while going a perfect 12-for-12 from the free-throw line.

Clark shot 2-for-8 from three-point range but made up for it with her playmaking and free-throw accuracy. She recorded her 14th double-double of the season in the victory.

The game marked the first contest for both teams following a nearly three-week break for the World Cup. Indiana has now won eight of its last ten games and sits tied with the Atlanta Dream atop the Eastern Conference standings.

Toronto received 22 points from Laura Juskaite and 18 from Kiki Rice, but the Tempo fell to their fifth straight defeat. The expansion franchise has dropped 21 of its last 23 games after starting the season 9-9.

The Tempo played without veteran guard Marina Mabrey, who will miss the final four games of the season with a right adductor injury. Toronto has already been eliminated from postseason contention.

Indiana returns home Sunday to host the Washington Mystics, while Toronto travels to face the New York Liberty in its next contest.
