Clear Facts

  • The St. Paul Downtown DoubleTree by Hilton canceled hotel reservations for multiple U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, citing increasing protests in Minneapolis after the shooting of Renee Good.
  • Protests intensified after January 7, resulting in the hotel’s temporary closure for public safety, while most other guests were allowed to remain.
  • The hotel offered assistance with alternate accommodations and some financial compensation after canceling the agents’ bookings.

On January 7, protests erupted in Minneapolis following the shooting of Renee Good, leading to direct opposition against ICE’s presence in the city.

Local officials, including the Democratic mayor, supported protestors, intensifying pressure on federal agents and contributing to the hotel’s decision to close its doors to ICE guests.

“Please know that your safety and well-being will always be our top priority. Due to heightened public safety concerns in St. Paul, we have made the difficult decision to temporarily close our hotel, and your reservation will be canceled effective Sunday, January 18, 2026 by 12PM,” the hotel’s letter addressed to affected agents stated.

“We are taking this step out of care for you, our team members, and the surrounding community,” the letter continued.

The letter further noted that the hotel staff could help agents find alternate accommodations and would offer either a refund for the last night’s stay or pay for their first night at a new location.

Reports confirmed by on-the-ground journalists showed the hotel closing for these federal agents but allowing most other guests to complete their stays.

Earlier in January, a different hotel tied to the Hilton brand reportedly refused new reservations to ICE agents after observing a surge in government bookings.

The Hilton company stated it works with federal law enforcement but highlighted that individual hotels are independently operated.

Heightened scrutiny from local groups followed a federal crackdown planned by the Trump administration in Minneapolis. This campaign began after allegations of fraud involving Somali immigrants and led to large-scale immigration enforcement efforts.

Community tensions escalated after the shooting on January 7, with anti-ICE groups organizing to alert neighbors when ICE agents were seen nearby and openly resisting federal activity in the city.

Maybe they think that a box of chocolate and a 200$ bill is the way to apprehended these MF eligals. Yeah, you all eligas let’s do this in a peaceful way. You get a box of chocolate and a 100$ if you gave yourself in to be deported. I bet that the Minnesotan morons think that this is the way to do it. I got to thinking………who does Hilton think they are protecting by refusing the ICE reservation? It sure isn’t the people of Minneapolis…..there are people there who would rather burn the Hiltons down because they are part of an “entitlement” of what they consider “white” entitlement. I am proud to say that I am WHITE but I would NEVER stay nor would I suggest a Hilton to my friends or neighbors. We are a nation of many ethnicities. We are brothers and sisters in GOD. It is about time that this country comes together to build each other up and not tear each other down. GOD BLESS THE USA

I can’t blame the Hilton hotel for doing what they did because these people whom we are dealing with are criminals they will destroy the place just to prove that they can do. We need the military to handle this kind of situation. President needs to invoke the ‘Insurrection Act’ to save the country from the mob.

    Once again:
    1. Pull ALL federal law enforcement out of Minnesota
    2. Take ALL illegals AND SOMALIANS from Red states only and transport them to Minneapolis OR ANY city in Minnesota and DROP THEM OFF.
LETS SEE HOW MANY OF THOSE YOUNG WHITE LIBERAL IDIOTS ARE WILLING TO TAKE THEM IN.
