Neighbor Ronnie Taylor says the conflict began when he asked Ritchson to stop speeding through the neighborhood on Saturday.

He says the disagreement escalated on Sunday after he approached the actor again.

“I did push [Ritchson] because he was coming towards me on his bike,” Taylor said.

Taylor said that after a second push, the actor dismounted his motorcycle and began hitting him.

He said he sustained visible facial injuries and only wanted to take a stand for safety in his community.

Sources close to Ritchson offer a different account, claiming Taylor was the aggressor.

They allege Taylor’s actions caused Ritchson to crash his bike and sustain minor injuries before the fight began.

Ritchson has also been outspoken about his political views in the past.

During a 2024 interview, he criticized the Christian community for supporting the former president.

“Trump is a rapist and a con man, and yet the entire Christian church seems to treat him like he’s their poster child and it’s unreal,” Ritchson told reporters.
